Motel 6 Ashland, VA

We were given a room that wasn't properly checked out/prepared as a homeless person was squatting in the room. We were offered another room, but the toilet was disgusting with urine spot and streaks; and didn't flush well. I didn't feel safe and I didn't feel comfortable. Thr only good thing is that the staff didn't give us a problem when we asked for a refund. We left and found other lodging accommodations.

Tv remote didn't work, staff refused to solve the issue. There was no stopper in the tub and the shower didn't work. The fridge was running but wouldn't keep food cold. The microwave didn't work. There was no phone in the room. The beds are stiff and the pillow too thin. There were bugs everywhere and trash hidden in corners. The AC worked by kept making a grinding sound. I got no sleep. This dump is a waste of money and should be closed down.

Honestly not sure what stars to rate it. We crawled our way in at 2am while driving back from Florida. They were open, they had a room, the room looked fine to my weary eyes. We proceeded to sleep and then left in the morning. I don't even know if they had breakfast or not. The bed was great. The bathroom worked. Sorry for such an uninformative review but if you're driving and exhausted this place was a good price too.

Sam the front desk clerk there is a liar and speaks ill on people’s name, me and some friends of mine stayed a weekend here and were going to extend our stay but asked for more towels and we were told we had to speak to room service in the morning but everyone works during the day so we’re not able to speak with room service and by the time we got back room service was gone. So we decided to leave instead of extending the stay due to this issue. Went to rent a room tonight and sam stated he could not rent me a room due to issues from last visit I said okay well how do I get my money back he said call booking they will refund you because we didn’t charge you I said okay and went about my business calling booking to get my money back or moved to the next hotel. They rep from booking calls Sam and he proceededs to tell them he can not service me because I destroyed the room!!!! I am very clean person hence I had you show me three rooms before finding one that had no roaches or signs there was any before picking a room!!!! So when the lady from booking came back on the line with me and told me that they can not refund my money due to what sam had told them so I corrected the lady and she asked if I could go back over there and speak with Sam and her so I did he then wanted to try to still state that o destroyed the room, I had to remind him no the reason there is a issue is because my boyfriend and you had a issue over towels!!!! And lying on people is not good buisness even the booking lady was shocked and now investigating this motel!!!! Do not stay here!!!! Unless you have too!!!!! Sam likes to slander peoples names!!!!!

The front desk clerks are so friendly and polite! They make the most absolute best coffee in the world for a motel 6! I did enjoy my stay while I was there. It was very helpful to be so closely located to fast food restaurants and a food Lion. They did welcome my emotional support animal, however I did have to pay $15 a day pet fee for it. Other than that I can't say anything negative about this place other than they treated me kindly
