Motel 6 Carpinteria, CA - Santa Barbara - South

We stayed here because we were attending a wedding in Santa Barbara. It’s very close to the freeway which we felt was a plus and the drive to Santa Barbara was ~15 min. Also, we stayed on the side closest to the freeway and the noice was not an issue. We contacted the front desk the morning of and requested an early check in. We were very pleased that they were able to accommodate us. We appreciated all the work that the staff did for us. The staff were also very friendly and professional. The area where we were a bit disappointed was the room, specifically the size. We stayed in a 2 Full Beds Room. The room is smaller than we’d anticipated plus it also had “closet-like” doors to the restroom which leaves very little privacy. The room did have a refrigerator, which was a plus. Ultimately, we would stay here again if we were in the area, however we would most likely try a larger room.

Room was clean and comfortable. A bit of an upgrade from the typical Motel6. Of special note was Sandy, the woman who checked us in. Very gracious and personable, she made sure we got the perfect room.

We recently adopted a dog and we’re still figuring out the best way to travel with her. Motel 6 offers free or low fee pet stays, so we checked this place out online for a short weekend trip to Carpinteria. The accommodations are more than adequate! Safe and comfortable. The location can’t be beat. We are walking into town everyday to amazing restaurants and breweries. And the staff here is top notch. I believe Eduardo was the name of the man who checked us in. He was so kinda and helpful. And Sandy gave our dogs some milk bone treats when we were walking her! Plenty of grassy areas for dog, btw. Luckily the town of Carp is so dog welcoming. Many restaurants allow dogs on leash on patio. This town is simply amazing. A hidden gem. The people are top notch. Not as snobby as Santa Barbara (sorry, not sorry). And beautiful oceans views, trails, a seal sanctuary! I want to sing its praises while also wanting it to remain a secret! Thanks Motel 6 for having us and our new pup! A wonderful first vacation for her!

My 1st time staying at Hotel 6 and I’m coming back next week! I loved it! And what impressed me the most was how I was taken such good care of by Luz💓 I used to teach customer service and communication skills and there is nothing I could teach her! Y’all have a gem in her💓

This is one of the nicest Motel 6’s we’ve stayed in. My daughter loved the pool, the furniture is nice and the rooms were well done. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The place was very clean. The staff at check in was very kind and hospitable.
