Motel 6 Huntsville, ON

This hotel is absolutely horrible! They advertise Queen sized beds but all their beds are double-sized. They don’t have enough pillows in each room. The carpets are worn, the wallpaper is cracked, the wood furnishings are chipped and the ceramic floor in common areas is cracked. The property is not well maintained and feels dirty (there was dog poop all over the yard). The front desk is meant to be manned 24 hours but no one is ever there - to ask for pillows, coffee or help. They have a permanent “away for 15 minutes sign” on. Certainly not worth 80/night in low season.

Stayed here because its pet friendly, overall it's good for the price! The beds and bathroom were clean. Room did faintly smell like cigarettes, carpet was kinda icky with stains. Pool was nice, water was warm.

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Algonquin park. The location is ideal for taking a break after spending a day hiking in the park. Rooms are clean albeit a bit small. Bathrooms are also well maintained. The front desk person was helpful. Didn’t use the swimming pool, but it was indoor and appeared clean. Plenty of parking space and close to restaurants and other amenities.

Bed mattress are old and well used. Beds where not made nicely but was clean due to old mattresses. Room was clean, service was good. Staff was not sure of places and sights or see. Pool was nice and area clean. Price was okay Was not told about coffee or muffins in the morning. My sister booked the room for our two day holiday

For a research project, we placed some non obtrusive equipment in the wild area away from the property line and parking lot of this motel. Staff took equipment and made it difficult to get our stuff back. They also threw belongings into the trash, and made us get it back from the dumpster ourselves. They were very unfriendly. After reading other reviews it seems theft is an issue here. Would recommend using the nearby hotel instead if you value your belongings. Very unfortunate that they resulted to theft and throwing the non electronic equipment in the dumpster rather than setting the equipment aside or simply calling the contact number on the equipment itself. Everything was labelled.
