Checked in and right back out best word to describe the motel is sketchy. From the baseball bat learning in the corner of the front office to the room door not opening or closing without forcing it. Inside the room the table looked like someone used it as a cutting board. The room had an overall dirty feel to it. I Felt uncomfortable and on edge the minute I walked into the room.
Forst and foremost, it is a Motel 6 and you get what you pay for. Good service from Counter Staff, friendly and courteous. Good Location as just 2.3 miles from Acrisure Arena. Close to restaurants and stores. Bad: and most to complain about, THE HIGHWAY NOISE. Is beyond belief... Bad: You have to ask to have you room cleaned. I asked and they just made the bed, when the floor needed to be cleaned as well. Bad: Mold in the tub, where the tub and shower wall meet. You don't see it unless you are in tub and it was everywhere... Bad:, plus there was a ink pen jabbed between the toilet and the tank 🤔 BAD: Pool is NOT heated, so useless 😑
I had a truly disappointing stay at Motel 6 in Palm Desert. This was the second time the office employee went against the housekeeper's confirmation, insisting my room was clean and refusing to return my deposit. I was charged $40 for a towel, claiming it had eye makeup on it, which is absurd. Upon entering my room after check-in, the sunlight revealed all the dirt and drug paraphernalia under the bed, clearly showing that housekeeping had failed to sweep. As if that wasn't enough, I was hit by a foul stench coming from either the sink or the shower drain—perhaps both. The shower ceiling was covered in black mildew, making me question if my health was at risk. Everything else was as expected: local TV channels on a small 32-inch TV with wires hanging every which way, a bathroom door that looked like it had holes punched through it and poorly patched up, and a noisy vent fan. The only positive was the nice AC unit that kept the room cold on a 110-degree day, which was impressive.
HORRIBLE STAY ! we arrived late after long day of travel. - first impression was a stained pillow case. yuck! for the following 3 hours we got zero sleep. The hotel had trespassers running around the property - shirtless/yelling at each other/and sneaking around corners very suspiciously. very sketchy scene. We felt very unsafe to even step outside to check on our vehicle as we heard footsteps outside of our front door all night from 12am all the way until 3am in the morning. Did not feel safe having ourselves on the property much less our vehicle in the parking lot with trespassers snooping around the hotel premises. Upon calling the front desk they said "they were aware there were trespassers and no they were not guests" - this is a matter that should have been dealt with by staff if it was in their awareness that certainly the individuals snooping around the property were most likely disturbing guests and could have been a safety concern for vehicles in the lot and/or guests themselves. we were there for a total of 3 hours - wide awake - unable to sleep listening to people snoop around the rooms and parking lot. Upon calling to notify the front desk and speak with them regarding refund (as the property was not secure, and staff were not taking measures to address the situation they clearly knew well about)... we were shut down. no options were given. If hotel staff is aware of trespassers on their property which was stated was "a regular basis here" law enforcement should be called to report the issue. Speaking with management also did absolutely nothing for us. overpriced stay, for a total of 3 hours being on our own watch for our own fear of saftey, only to leave at 3am on zero sleep, and still have not heard back from management regarding refund or addressing the issue. do yourself a favor and do not book a night here, even if it is a short stay - you most likely will not get sleep at this sketchy, poorly secured and managed location.
Room was clean. The service was wonderful. The location is prime. There is a shopping center across the street with everything you could possibly need or want in it. Tons of fast food places with in walking distance. I would totally stay there again.
