Customer Reviews
It's been months since we stayed here, and it still sticks in my mind as the single worst experience I've ever had at a motel. When we arrived I was directed by the front desk clerk to park my RV in an area roped off for construction. I was told it was fine because it was the weekend and we'd be leaving in the morning. They charge a $60 cash deposit (money laundering or tax evasion?) The rooms were the worst I've seen in a Motel 6, or any motel, with dingy floors and walls and an uncleaned bathroom. Sometimes after we went to sleep a belligerent employee banged on our door. When I opened it the angry gnome started yelling at me about the RV. I tried to explain that I was happy to move it, but that I was told to park there by the day shift front desk clerk, but he kept interrupting me to shout about how the owner was on the phone and he was going to call the police. When he had worn himself out he left, and I moved my RV out to a spot on the street nearby. When I returned he was still wandering the property, so I asked him who he was as he wore no name tag on his filthy Motel 6 polo shirt. He asked why, did I think I was going to complain to someone, so I said yes. He told me to look up the manager's number online. I did, and I left a voicemail. In the morning at checkout we got a chilly reception, and I was told my deposit wouldn't be returned, no reason given. When I asked to speak with the manager she came out yelling at us to get off the property. She told me to call the cops if I wanted my deposit back. We left at that point. I tried contacting the GM directly as well as contacting Motel 6 corporate, but nothing came of any of it. Frankly, I'm shocked to find them still doing business under the Motel 6 name. I'd like to be clear, of all the Motel 6's I've stayed in this was by far the worst, and the only one I've ever posted a bad review about. Usually they are stellar.
Me and my girlfriend got in and got greeted by the front desk lady, she was really friendly and helped us get a room. The room we got was pretty clean for the most part, the TV had smudges but nothing serious. This is a great affordable quick place to stay for sure!
The property was great... However, towards the end when I checked out of my room and I expected to get my $60. Deposit returned to me, for room #209, the lady advised me that she's keeping my deposit because one of the wash rags were dirty and they claim to have a stain on the sheets of what looked like either blood or coffee.
Upon arriving at the motel, I found the rooms to be in a deplorable state. Specifically: The floors were visibly dirty and had not been cleaned. The bathroom was in poor condition. No toilet paper and it appeared it had been used and not cleaned. Dirty towels. Bed spreads in bad condition. I can go on. We requested both "non-smoking" rooms and they both smelled like if they had just finished smoking in them. The condition of the rooms and the unhelpful attitude of the staff (guy with long braided hair) were unacceptable and did not meet the standards. When I went back to the front lobby, there was noone there so we had to wait a while for someone to come up to the window. By the time he came to the window, I expressed my concerns, but the employee responded with indifference and a dismissive attitude, failing to address the situation or offer any resolution (not a single word came out from him). He listened and went to grab the papers were he saved our $120 cash deposit and had it off to me without saying a word. The pictures were taken as soon as we entered the rooms. The rooms are definitely not what they advertised on the web. By far the worst hotel and customer service ever!
Traveled with my boyfriend coming from Michigan and we got in and went to the service desk and instantly were greeted by the nice front desk woman, as she checked us in we had a few minutes of nice conversation. Her name was Lea. She was friendly and helpful!! Once we got to our room we settled in for the night. It was a decent stay and really helped having such a welcoming atmosphere by Lea at the front desk.
