Motel 6 Staunton, VA

Customer service was on point here! I dealt with 3 employees out of what appears to be a somewhat small staff. (Dori on the phone, possible owner/manager, and an excellent front desk woman.) Everyone was super friendly! They were kind enough to accommodate me with an early check-in! They are also dog friendly and do not charge an extra pet fee, and there is a great field for dog walking right by the motel. Also, a laundromat is on site. My room was updated. No carpet! Fridge had an actual freezer, and there were plenty of usefully placed outlets for charging with a short cord. Clean. Non-smelly. Safe-feeling. Apparently, this used to be a Quality Inn, and I think there's a conference center/courtyard/more upscale feel to the very small-town, local, "motel" setting that I was expecting. No coffee in the rooms, but plenty in the lobby. I can't figure out if this is a hotel or motel! Either way, EXCELLENT accommodations and very friendly staff for the lowest priced room in the area!

If you aren’t picky this place is great. I travel cross country with 2 dogs on a budget and this place is fine! Not sketchy, pretty clean, very basic but that’s what I look for. Beautiful courtyard and lobby. Probably the nicest bathroom I’ve seen in a motel 6 ever

Absolutely fantastic value. Clean, neat, functional rooms, cheerful staff, and a very safe and well cared for vibe. You can tell the owners/operators care about their property - the landscaping is nice and the rooms are well taken care of. Everything was clean and well put together. Not a single complaint. If you're visiting the valley or universities this is a great stop!

The staff was super friendly. The price was really good. The room was not clean. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The faucets had lots of soap scum on them. The table had crumbs and greasy finger prints all over it. The floor had dirt all over it and felt slimy in between the beds. I had to wear my shoes to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The room didn't smell bad though, and the beds seemed clean. They were super hard, but that's okay for some. Not sure why people own lodging facilities if they can't provide the customer with a clean environment. With all ceramic and tile floors, it doesn't seem like that would be a hard task.

Excellent value. Room was quite clean and functional. Common areas well kept and attractive. Customer service was excellent. Will definitely return.
