If I could give this place 6 stars I would! Our favorite campground in all of Maine. It has such a perfect blend of feeling wild with gorgeous views, with the convenience of on site bathrooms, showers, and social house. This place is beautifully landscaped and far enough from the main road. It’s quiet and has well shaded sites. ^remember to bring quarters to use the hot showers! $1 for 5 minutes

A fantastic campground! We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our experience. The site was a nice size and pretty private. The campground was well taken care of and the staff were all very friendly. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Acadia!

The campground was quiet and wooded and beautiful. The bathhouse was nice and clean. The check in and check out process was easy and attendant was very friendly. My only complaint is that only one car allowed on the campsite at a time. I knew this before going but didn’t realize how inconvenient it would be. If you do t have camping supplies split between two vehicles it wouldn’t be a big deal but it was inconvenient for us. I would definitely stay here again but would pack the cars differently.

It's a really nice campground set in the forest. It all seems to be well maintained and very clean. Follow the road map very closely. It's easy to get turned around. There are lots of paths. The tent site I rented had a very nice platform for your tent. It is advised to bring a hammer and nails to secure your tent on the platform.

Stunning sites, friendly people, fantastic amenities (including hot showers). 11/10 would go again. Thanks Mt Desert Campground!! (The ONLY thing is that you could hear highway traffic in the distance from some of the A sites, which isn’t MDC’s fault, but it may be something to note if you’re looking to camp here - get one of the backwoods D/E sites if silence it’s important to you)
