Absolutely amazing nature. Mount Hood is a stunning peak, and the hiking and recreation in the National Forest is fantastic. I’ve hiked here many times, most recently on a short backpacking trip to Upper Twin Lake from Frog Lake Trailhead last summer. The hike wasn’t the most exciting, but the lakes are beautiful and the views from the further on Palmeteer Point are breathtaking.
I went to the mirror lake trail. You just need to apply for a day pass for parking and arrive early to get the spot. They have a restroom and the trail was beautiful. If you like hiking, do give it a try
Nottingham campground is a great spot has spaces for tents and trailers. They do have bathrooms as well
It was absolutely gorgeous. My only complaint is that they make you pay for parking and don't have enough designated parking spots. If they make you pay I feel there should be ample parking.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights on the timberline trail around mount hood CCW. It was an amazing trail, and experience. The vegetation in the area is beautiful, and very diverse. The views of Mount Hood along the trail were very impressive. Everyone should do this trail!
