As a leading example in the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Mountain Dale Cabin Village offers a comprehensive array of services and accommodations designed to meet diverse needs. The village features 15 rustic cabins, comprising both double-room and single-room units, capable of sleeping up to five adults. Each cabin is equipped with essential comforts, including electricity, heat, and a ceiling fan, ensuring a comfortable stay year-round. Sleeping arrangements typically include beds with vinyl-covered mattresses, such as a futon double and twin bunk beds, along with a table and chairs. Outside each cabin, guests will find a picnic table and a fire pit, perfect for outdoor dining and evening campfires. Importantly, some cabins (specifically cabins 6, 7, and 8) are pet-friendly, allowing up to two pets (cats and/or dogs only) for an additional fee, making it accessible for those traveling with their furry companions. Beyond the cabins, the broader L.L. Stub Stewart State Park, where the village is located, offers 78 full-hookup RV sites with sewer, 50-amp electricity, and water, as well as 12 walk-in tent sites with nearby water, catering to a full range of camping preferences. Shared facilities include a centrally located cabin village restroom with flush toilets and hot showers, ensuring convenience and cleanliness. Laundry machines are also available on-site, a valuable amenity for longer stays. Each cabin site provides parking for one vehicle, with additional parking available in the nearby Hilltop Day-use Area for a day-use fee. Accessible facilities are a priority, with many cabins and restrooms designed for universal access, including wheelchair accessibility. The park office is available for inquiries and assistance, and firewood is typically available for sale from the park host.

Mountain Dale Cabin Village is distinguished by several unique features and a wealth of recreational opportunities. Its prime location within L.L. Stub Stewart State Park grants access to over 30 miles of multi-use trails, making it a premier destination for hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. These trails vary in difficulty, catering to all skill levels, and some even connect with the 21-mile Banks-Vernonia State Trail. For equestrian enthusiasts, the Hares Canyon Horse Camp, though separate, highlights the park's commitment to horse-friendly activities. The park also offers an 18-hole mountain-style disc golf course and a three-hole beginner course, providing unique recreational options. For children, there is a playground located in the east loop of the campground. A notable feature is the reservable Mountain Dale Cabin Village Meeting Hall, which can accommodate up to 50 people. This hall is well-equipped with a full kitchen (sink, counters, full-size freezer and refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, 4-burner electric stove with oven), electric heat, a wood stove, a projector screen, tables, and chairs, making it ideal for group gatherings, reunions, and events. The hall also has accessible restrooms and an outdoor patio with two barbecues. The village offers a "secluded in a little paradise" feel, providing wide roads and spacious sites that can accommodate vehicles of any size, from pop-up trailers to 40-foot motorhomes. High-speed Wi-Fi is available, ensuring guests can stay connected if needed, and a recreation room offers indoor entertainment with a TV and games, perfect for rainy days or quiet evenings. The presence of a dedicated dog park further enhances its pet-friendly appeal, allowing pets to roam freely in a designated area. The overall design emphasizes a balance between rugged outdoor immersion and comfortable, convenient living.

For those planning a visit to Mountain Dale Cabin Village, essential promotional and booking information is available through official channels. Reservations for cabins and campsites are highly recommended, especially during peak seasons, and can be made up to six months in advance via the Oregon State Parks reservation website (oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com) or by calling 1-800-452-5687. The park is open for camping year-round, offering beauty in all seasons. While specific, short-term promotional offers are not detailed here, visitors should check the Oregon State Parks website for current rates, availability, and any potential discounts or passes (e.g., Oregon State Parks day-use permits or annual passes, which are required for day-use parking). Any changes to services or facilities, such as reductions due to maintenance or specific advisories, are typically posted on the park's official notice boards or website. It's crucial to stay updated on fire bans, especially during dry periods, as these can impact the use of fire rings. Hydration and sun protection are important considerations due to the elevation. The park also has specific regulations regarding vehicle parking (on pavement only), tent placement (on gravel pads), and pet restraint (physical restraint at all times when not confined or in the designated off-leash area). Check-in and check-out times should be observed, and for the meeting hall, specific check-in/out times apply, with a requirement to vacate between 9 PM and 8 AM daily. The park emphasizes the importance of leaving the building clean, with potential additional charges for unclean conditions. Excellent place to stay and explore the many trails of this massive state park. The beautiful Oregon never disappoints (even in the rain sometimes). There are views as well as deep forest trails that will keep you wanting to come and explore more. Very beautiful place. There have been recent sightings of cougars and others in the area, so please be prepared. However, it is still worth it for the love of the outdoors. There are cougars all over Oregon, it's just that most of the time they stay in the shadows. The cabins are extremely well maintained, but know going in you'll be close to your neighbors. Not too bad, but just know if you have noisy people on either side you'll be bothered. Dogs are welcome in cabins 6-8 (8 being the furthest from the parking lot, but has the most privacy).

Nice cabins. Have stayed here twice. Consider yourself glamping... there are no cooking areas or bathrooms in cabins. We had a two-room cabin. Has two bunk beds (full & twin bed each) in the bedroom, a futon that folds down to a bed in a living area. Both rooms had ceiling fans. Each cabin is assigned a parking spot. There is no way to contact any park staff. Even the visitor office only has a message machine. The Ranger drove through once on this visit. Yes, there is phone reception. I have two bars, and my husband has five... we have the same phone & service. Go figure?!

Been coming here to camp for years. Nice quiet Lil cabin village. There's a disc golf course. Horse back riding area. Mountain bike trails. Hiking trails. Full bathrooms including showers. There's also a 21 mile paved trail nearby. More geared to outdoor adventures.

Cabins: Contactless check-in. Heater worked well and the cabins were far enough away from eachother to be private. Short walk through the woods to the lake below. Fun time, grocery store about 3 min down the road with everything you'd need for camping etc.
