We love the campground. Beautiful views. As a side note- our site requires 50 feet water hose.
I want to give it five stars and I will keep coming back here every year. The campgrounds lack trees. There is no reason why they can’t have some trees separating camp sites and there is a ton of prickly thorns everywhere. If you don’t have a camper trailer the rocks are uncomfortable under the tent when you are walking in the tent. Also people don’t respect quiet hour. Unless you have a camper trailer it doesn’t matter but for tent camping it can get loud. But for the good stuff it’s quiet on the beach and not that many people compared to try day use area. The lake is beautiful. It’s a great way to watch the sunset over bear lake. Even though it has four stars we will keep coming back yearly but they could improve it.
Great camping, had a nice spot right on the lake. Launched kayak right in front of campspot. Beautiful kayaking. Very friendly host. Recommend.
Camp site 46 has a tree, great for afternoon shade. Gravel platforms and most sites have power! Beautiful views of the lake. Vault toilets well maintained. Day use access and drive down access 4wd recommended loose sand.
Pros: Great access to the beach Cons: -Campground 11 has a wasp nest in the bushes, so we weren’t able to use the table as it was constantly surrounded by them. -The campsites are pretty cramped next to each other without anything between you and the next site. -The price for a site not well kept up with, and barely amenities isn’t really worth it. But the sandy beach is definitely worth it.
