One of my favorite campgrounds! We just finished our second stay here (stayed for the first time last year) and loved it. It was cool and rained a few days in the evening/night but no complaints. I'd rather have cool weather than scorching hot. It's such a beautiful area to camp, bike, hike and fish in. I don't think there's a bad spot to camp in. We had spot 4 in the Bear Loop and it was great. Last year we had spot 1 and still loved it. We got to see lots and lots of hummingbirds this year. We did a hike at the campsite (Kreutzer/Mc Connell) and did the whole 4 miles and it was challenging. Lots of rocks and it took us 3h to complete. Thankfully, there is a picture of the trails at the beginning so I took a picture. We knew it was 4 miles but there was a lot of primitive areas on the trail. The showers were clean and cleaned regularly. The camp staff is always cleaning which helps the park stay beautiful so thank you to all of them.

Love camping here every year. It's right next to the Poudre River. Has a variety of sites for tents and rv's. Some electric hook-ups. Has paid showers, clean restrooms, nice group area. I particularly like the hiking trail...I think it's called McConnell? It begins moderate but is more difficult towards the top. Mid-way up there is an opportunity to take a more primitive trail. I've done that one before but it's not often hiked, there is a lot of overgrowth, and it's sometimes difficult to find the trail. You can also hike the 'easier' trail as a loop, but I prefer the up and back as the loop trail is more primitive, and I am easily lost. Lol

Great place to spend some time by the Poudre River and relax either with Family or by yourself. Facilities were very clean, lots of places to picnic or just hang out.

Beautiful! This is our favorite campground to date. Lot 27 had lots of shade with plenty of space between neighbors. Definitely feels like staying in the forest and the drive is gorgeous.

Beautiful place in an idyllic location. It was crowded over Memorial Day weekend but it still wasn't too loud, because the campsites aren't as close together as most campgrounds. Got a site right next to the river. There were some bugs of course, but those are easy enough to handle. The hosts are a very nice couple who went out of their way to find me some reading material about the area. Toilets are conveniently located and generally well-kept.

One of my favorite family camping spots. Manicured campgrounds, very clean bathrooms, and paid showers to boot. Kids love exploring in the trees and walking along the river. Horseshoes and volleyball are a bonus.
