Mountain View Lodge & Cabins

We live only an hour from here and stayed because we went to a wedding near by. I also own a South Dakota business and when I see cleanliness, A+ customer service, family owned, every waking hour goes into their business, pride and love that goes along with it you want to tell everyone! I loved this place! I loved how clean, how unique, how friendly and accommodating, I loved every little detail! We worked definitely come back! I would definitely tell my family and friends! A+ to this family owned business! It shows!

The Mountain View lodge exceeded every one of my expectations. We were exhausted after traveling and some unexpected detours (thanks GPS. Never ever go down Edelweiss Mountain Rd. It was terrifying). We were promptly greeted with a refreshment upon checking in, and shown to our cabin. We stayed in cabin #19, which had all the comforts of home, and then some. This is a double decker, family friendly cabin which our children loved, as they basically had their own cabin for the duration of our stay. The scenery from the deck was beautiful, and we spent nights out by the fire pit. Literally everything you could need was provided with the cabin. Everything was clean, the beds were super comfy, and we were close to major attractions in the Black Hills. I will absolutely book with them again if we ever head back to the area. -Amber & Andy

We recently had our family reunion at Mountain View Lodge & Cabins. It was spectacular! The owners are so sweet, caring, friendly, always smiling & happy to serve! They made our stay wonderful! We rented all 5 cabins & one room in the lodge. The room in the lodge & the 5 cabins were great! Love the way they have decorated and made it warm, cozy & wonderful! We had the best time there! We highly recommend you plan a visit and stay! It's great!

Anytime we are in South Dakota we make it a point to stay at Mountain View Lodge & Cabins in Hill City. The owners are very hospitable and personable. They are knowledgeable about the area. The establishment is very clean. We choose to stay in the cabins which has a firepit, grill and kitchenette. And we will be back next year!!

The family who own this motel and cabins are amazing. After booking at a name brand hotel (that turned out to have some bug problems) we found this gem. They were very accomodating to our family who was exhausted from 13 hours of traveling. Everything is very clean and well cared for. The location is excellent. I would highly recommend!
