Nice area with plenty of parking. The trail is marked well and easy to navigate. A map is posted at the trail head giving you a clear idea of how the trail is laid out and how to follow it. Fishing is permitted on the lake but is catch and release only. Picnic tables are available at the trail head. Garbage cans are on site. Area is pet friendly, bags are provided at the garbage area for pet bathroom pickup. No Restrooms on site.
Mt. Nebo is one of our favorite parks! A short hike to and from the pristine lake. A 1 mile Blue Trail. A 2 mile Yellow trail. Both well marked and moderately easy. Dogs should always be on leash.
About 2 city blocks in is a natural pond. Nice to bring dogs to play in the water. Hiked the yellow trail on 8/13. Clearly and frequently marked. About a 2 mile loop. Mostly even but spots of up and downhill. It is wooded so prepare for some bugs and tree roots on the trail. Very serene and only saw 3 other people on the trail.
Easy trails, beautiful area, qute peaceful
Very nice park for a short hike. The longest trail is 1.95 miles (yellow) with few scenic overlooks. Summertime those views are a little blocked by trees though. Good place to take your kids for nature hike or a picnic. Trails are well marked, some upkeep needed on the benches and picnic tables, but I never expect places like this to even have them, so it is a nice that they already exist. Lots of rocks available to sit on :) if needed. I visited this park numerous times in different seasons and never got disappointed. There are not too many visitors too. Sometimes there were people with unleashed dogs though, which for some folks it may not be their favorite situation. Good place to get some rest and sun by the water. Highly recommend to visit.
