Mulberry Gap - Adventure Basecamp truly lives up to its name, functioning as a unique blend of a resort, a summer camp, a campground, and an outdoor adventure hostel. Since opening its doors in 2006, it has become famous for being a rustic haven for outdoor enthusiasts, particularly those drawn to mountain biking. It's nestled in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, surrounded by the vast Cohutta Wilderness Area and the Chattahoochee National Forest. What makes Mulberry Gap so special is its commitment to the "experience." It's a place where guests can "unplug, unwind, and enjoy the beauty" while also pushing their limits on challenging and rewarding trails. The "staff was helpful and friendly," with a "genuine connection to the space and their guests," creating an environment where camaraderie thrives. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or new to the outdoors, Mulberry Gap provides a supportive and invigorating atmosphere, where every detail, from the "amazing" food to the cozy accommodations, is designed to enhance your adventure.

Customer Reviews
I've been to Mulberry Gap several times for single day events and just recently stayed overnight. It is a beautiful place with tons of amenities. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. They were extremely accommodating for my vegan diet and made sure I had quality food to eat (not just a salad!). The cabin I stayed in was cozy and situated near a beautiful pond. It was great spot to sit outside and read or drink coffee. The location can't be beat for access to trails and other things to do. Every staff member I interacted with was extremely nice and you can tell they have a genuine connection to the space and their guests. Even if you're not staying overnight, don't sleep on Mulberry Gap! They have a shop with snacks, drinks, and merchandise so it's a great place to stop while out adventuring.
So, my friend texted me on a Wednesday night saying I should join her to ride in the woods the coming weekend at the Wild Women's Weekend. I replied, "You're right!". This was my first and I had a blast. The first thing I wanted to say is that I found the meals fabulous. Mulberry Gap took the time to ask me about any special diet requests, and they totally duplicated and presented awesome food that fit me. I found the way the weekend was organized, it allowed time for people to get to know each other in a comfortable, friendly environment. The riding was a fantastic experience. The rides were challenging and rewarding. And the camaraderie, phenomenal.
Great place to stay a few days to relax or to enjoy the trails, mountain biking, or hiking, and you can't beat a hot tub at the end of the day. Well maintained facilities, cabins clean and cozy. The bathrooms are always clean, and the barn is available 24/7 to make your own basic meal or to just relax. All the staff were super nice.
Lovely little camp ground. Very private sites for tent camping. Pictured is the closest other site. Im at brook 1. Very clean facilities and a nice little shop with all the needs. And some souvenirs staff was awesome upon check in. Will update after breakfast tomorrow if the meals are worth it or not. But i have pretty high hopes for that as well. Edit - the breakfast was great and all you can eat style. I was lucky to be able to add dinner tonight!
Kate and Andrew are wonderful! I enjoyed a relaxing weekend with the ladies. Food was superb, camping was nice and quiet, and the proximity to trails is perfect. Mulberry Gap is laid back, and has friendly staff who are there to help if you need it, and leave you to enjoy yourself if you don’t. I would love to come again!
