As it is a city-run campground, I expected better. We looked forward for six months to spending our anniversary in this campground. We patiently waited until 8:00 p.m. on December 1st to get our site. We logged in at 7:55 p.m. and refreshed until the sites opened. We had our Lakefront campsite picked in our cart and went to pay for it, but there was an error. I went back to the main page, and all the sites were gone. Something funny is going on with this campground. All the sites were reserved beforehand. I guess they should advertise as being a seasonal only campground. Emailed the campground that same night and no response.

By far, the major attraction of this campground - this is our third time staying here - is its proximity to Lake Superior. The campground goes right up to the edge of the lake and has a sandy beach that runs the entire length of the campground. This means that there is direct access from the campground to the lake. The individual sites are a mixture of FHU and water/electric. At least some of the FHU sites are 50 amp. The sites all seem generally level, with dirt for the "pad" and grass around that. As with our two other times, this time, we were in the Overflow Area. 30/20, water, no sewer. We wanted the front of the coach to face the lake, which meant the utilities were at the front of the "campsite" rather than in the rear, so we were thankful that we had an extra section of water hose, and an extension cord for our electrical. Speaking of electrical, in the overflow area, when it is full, and it is hot outside, there is sometimes a dip in the pedestal voltage to below 104 volts, the point at which our Huges Power Watchdog will cut power to the coach. The campground is adjacent to a 55 mph two-lane highway, so there is road noise. Fortunately, it is almost entirely tire noise rather than truck noise, and it tends to quite down significantly at night. Big rig friendly. Clean toilets and showers. Nice dump site. 3 bars Verizon, 2 bars T-Mobile, good AT&T data. Campground has Wi-Fi but we did not try it. Tips: If you want to get a real campsite, book *well* in advance.

We stayed at a Rustic Tent Site from October 13th-16th. The campground is easy to find, just off the highway. We were able to check in easily/quickly and were also given advice on where to find the nearest firewood (in Christmas, 5 mins away). Our tent site "S" was about a 3-4 minute walk through a wooded trail to where we had to park, and about 5-6 minute walk to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were clean, had hot water, and they had a dish-washing room. Wifi/cell service is available throughout the campground. There was a large apple tree growing next to the entrance to our site with big, beautiful apples to snack on. Our site was directly on the sandy beach with stunning views of the lake. There was a picnic table & firepit with a grill. The ground was mostly level, with minimal trees and shrubs. However our site did have one medium-sized tree that we set our tent up next to, and it did a lot to help block the wind. Speaking of the wind, it was very intense throughout the duration of our stay. It may not be like that all year-round, but if you are tent camping on the beach I highly recommend bringing plenty of extra long stakes, and a tent that holds up to very strong wind gusts. Also, ear plugs if the sound of waves crashing and tent flapping in the wind will bother you while trying to fall asleep. And if you are tent camping there in October like us, be prepared for the nights to be as low as 25°F with the windchill. Really, be prepared for any weather situation because it's quite unpredictable that time of year. Overall it is a truly beautiful campground, central to lots of outdoor activities/restaurants, and shopping. I will absolutely be returning to this place in the Spring/Summer when the weather is more temperate!

This is a beautiful and well maintained campground located right on Lake Superior. Not all the sites are on the lake, but ours was and it was so beautiful and peaceful. There’s a bit of beach along the shore for nice walks too. The staff are very friendly and the facilities were in great condition. Right across the street is a side-by-side ATV trail that goes into Munising, if you’re into that. It’s also just a short drive (5 minutes) into Munising where there are lots of activities to enjoy the lake. Highly recommend visiting Munising and staying at this campground!

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. On our great lakes tour, this by far was Superior 🤦. Right on the water site 78. The campground has full hookups, partial hookups and a bunch of tent sites. The sunsets were awesome here. The proximity to the local attractions is close. We did end up getting lost on some dirt logging roads on an adventure to Kitch it kippe. Which was so worth the ride. We also went to Oswald's Bear place. This was pretty amazing as well and worth the ride

Nice RV park with full connection service. It is located right on the lake shore. All sights are unpaved, recommend having outdoor mats and a way to clean your shoes before going inside your RV. If you bring an outdoor rug make sure you have anchors to keep it from been blown away by the wind. The camp is located away from the downtown area but is within a short drive from downtown.

I really like this place. We got a lakeside site and backed the RV in so that the large window looked right out over the water. Had a really pleasant stay in Munising even though it was rainy most of the time we were there. Facilities were nice and clean and price was not bad. I hope to stay here again.
