Beautiful park with great camping facilities.. we camped here as part of a scouting trip and had a fantastic experience! Beware of the raccoons.. They are fearless and will rip open backpacks or tents if you leave food in them!! The little gift shop next to park is run by nice folks.

Nothing bad to say other than to do your due diligence in scouting out your camp site because some are quite tight with all the trees. But that is what we love is all the trees - absolutely beautiful! Very clean place. Fairly quiet except for the planes going and coming (right next to the airport). Also, we noticed some of the sewer hookups were quite high and some ppl had trouble getting to drain - ours was a lower one thankfully. We love it here and will definitely be back again.

Quickly becoming my favorite beach vacation spot! I love that this relatively quiet state park is basically on the beach! From my campsite to the beach is less than a 5 minute walk! You can beat being able to sleep in a tent and listen to the waves crashing at night! The biggest downfall is how close it is to the airport, so there is a fairly constant stream of airplane takeoff noise (LOUD!), but I found I quickly got used to it. The campsite itself is beautiful, well shaded and well maintained. As a single solo female tent camper, I never felt in danger and had friendly neighbors each time I've been there! It's nice to see more tents popping up each time I go! The park is also dog friendly! The biggest tip I would give anyone, is if you're in a tent or need to stake anything down, BRING A HAMMER! The ground is rock solid! Also, ants, bring bug stuff! It is nice to be able to be at a quiet camp and beach, and still be able to drive just 15 minutes north and be at the boardwalk with all the stuff for kids and family to do, or drive 15 minutes south and visit Litchfield Beach to find an abundance of whelks shells!

Fantastic little State Park with endless beach front to walk on. Search for shells and sharkteethvon the beach, photograph birds and wildflowers and stroll along the fishing pier. Park entrance is $8 per adult plus $8 to fish on the pier. Walking on the pier is free. Also handy is a small gift and sundries shop complete with fishing poles reels and gear as well as gifts and snacks. Coffee at the shop is a bonus on the cold days. Camping is also available. Visit the nature centre especially if you have brought found children, or enjoy the nature trails for hiking.

We really enjoyed our stay here on site 212. There's a lot for families to do here; playgrounds, nature walks, the beach, a pier, etc. The bathhouse was clean and the shower was decent. Full hookups with 50 amp service. I would have given 5 stars, but the airplanes taking off and landing. Very loud, even inside the camper.
