This is an awesome place to camp. They have a rustic area down below with spots along the river that are really nice. They have float trips, or you can take your own. You can go above the campground and float back into the campground, or leave the campground and float down to the bridge. My grandkids love the rope swing over the river. I had some difficulty on my last trip and the owners and staff were very nice and helpful.
Owners are super friendly and honestly the best stretch of the river to go kayaking or tubing. I camp here multiple times a year and kayak about every weekend in the summer and this is my favorite place to go.
Very dirty, very outdated bathrooms, that they never clean. They don't stock the outhouses with toilet paper. They were empty by Saturday night. There was at least one fight every day/night I was there. I was there for 3 nights, 4 days. I was in rustic camping and my campsite was in the middle of a path, so there were people walking through my campsite all day and night. All that traffic caused my dog to bark constantly. People were washing their dishes in the bathroom. Also they charge $18 per adult and $4 for every person under 18. Two nice things, but they aren't enough for me to want to go back there is rustic camping is right on the water and if you do a river trip, there is a landing site at the campground.
Second stay this year. Had a great experience both times. Best camping of the year. Has everything you need. Nice grassy campsites. Lots of activities to keep kids busy. Great and friendly owners. Awesome campground!
This spot was a bit off the beaten path, but quite accommodating for all campers! Lots of activities for kids - a large grassy area with corn hole, giant connect 4, horseshoe pit, and a sand volleyball court. The river is very close by and the owners host river floats (extra cost). I only had a one night stay, but Jason was a delightful and accommodating host.
