Friendly and knowledgeable staff! We got to pet the horses who pulled the sled! I can't say enough about this place! Cute gift shop with everything you might have forgot. Go in winter when the elk come down for food and dress like you're going to Alaska to ice fish and you should be ok, but if you forgot a blanket or gloves don't fret because they're for sale at the gift shop! Plus a ton of other things and free stamps for a momento if you have something to stamp.
This was the most amazing, romantic (with 10 other people) educational sleigh ride!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!!!! Our sleigh guide was THE BEST, she was very personable ended telling us how her friend talked her into moving to Wyoming meet cowboys and she ended up marrying the owner of the Sleigh Company’s son and eventually learned everything about the Elk Refuge and how she got the job and she had the biggest smile and just laughed and we all laughed with her! I am so sorry I can’t remember her name, but that story will make sure she gets credit for this review! She would give us information as she drove along and stop and let us take pictures. She was extremely knowledgeable about the size of the elk, the other animals in the area, we saw several coyotes, she spoke as if she had studied elk, exclusively, obsessively with a phd degree!!! She was knowledgeable! She also had personality and stories about the horses and how they are named and paired up. I’m not going to say, it’s best to hear it from her!!!
The sleigh ride in the snow out to see the elk is just awesome! It was quote windy and cold, but we brought blankets! 🙌🏽 Lynn was the absolute best driver! He's passionate about the reserve and full of knowledge. We would totally do this again!
A great place to take in nature and see the sights. An incredibly educational sleigh ride offered as well for a nominal price ($40 for adults)
This is a must in Jackson Hole! Very beautiful and informative! Learning about Elk and other wildlife/animals in their natural habitats and even the free museum was an incredible experience! Super great staff!
