Navajo Lake State Park - Pine Campground Introduce

Welcome to Navajo Lake State Park - Pine Campground, located at Navajo Lake 1448, NM-511, Navajo Dam, NM 87419. As a part of the 'Campgrounds & RV Parks' category, this campground offers beautiful lake views and well-maintained facilities, but with some safety considerations.

Navajo Lake State Park - Pine Campground is praised for its stunning lake views, particularly from sites in the Pine Main loop, such as C33, C34, and C35. The campsites are equipped with non-movable tables, covered patio areas, grills, fire rings, and shade-providing trees. The campground also features a well-kept playground, clean bathrooms with showers, and a friendly camp host.

However, potential visitors should be aware of some safety concerns. The hike down to the water can be steep, which may be challenging for those with small children or mobility issues. Additionally, there have been reports of broken glass, particularly in the Juniper loop, such as site J7. The trails to the lake are not maintained, and the hillside can contain shards of broken glass, posing a risk to pets and people.

Despite these concerns, the campground is generally well-maintained, and the views are described as beautiful. It is essential to exercise caution when walking down to the water, especially with pets or small children.

Navajo Lake State Park - Pine Campground offers scenic lake views and well-maintained facilities, but be aware of potential broken glass hazards and steep hikes to the water. Consider pet safety when exploring the trails.

For inquiries or to book a stay, you can contact Navajo Lake State Park - Pine Campground at (505) 632-2278 or +1 505-632-2278. When visiting, exercise caution when hiking to the lake and be mindful of potential broken glass.

We had C33, C34 and C35 in pine main. It was such a beautiful spot with amazing views of the lake. Like most campsites here, it’s a hike down the hill to the water but worth it. If toy have small babies I would suggest a different site since it’s right on the edge. All sites had non-movable tables, covered patio area, grill and fire rings, and trees to shade. Playground is well kept, bathrooms with showers are clean, camp host is super friendly.

August 27th - beware of lots of broken glass! we were in juniper loop, J7 The campgrounds are well maintained and the view is beautiful. Note there is no access to the lake from this loop except on trails made by campers. Since those trails aren’t maintained, unfortunately, the hillside by our site was covered in big shards of broken glass. If you have a dog, I would carry them if you decide to walk the hillside down to the water’s edge Other than the glass, no complaints

**Review for site A09** Extremely off level. Even with two sets of blocks, I was unable to get level. There is no shelter. The pad is so narrow there is only 1 ft or less on door side, so I could not put out the large mat for an outdoor living area. The table is burnt in one spot and us on the sewage/utility side. My sewage connections are about 2' above ground level so no amount of support is enough. It says up to 30', but I'm 26.5' + bike rack and barely fit. I feel like my nose is in the road. I'd say 24' max self- contained. If you are towing there is nowhere to park your vehicle. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1: full hook-ups.

Camp ground was awesome. Just the size we needed in camping space. My husband did see a scorpion at night. Views are beautiful. Seen lots of wild life. Would definitely go again.

Site 15. Full hookups/ 50 amp / paved pad/ fairly level/ backup site with view of lake. Biggest draw backs... many sites not level / currently under a water boil order (if you use their water, don't forget to flush/sanitize your tanks when you get home)!
