Ne're Beach Family Campground is a welcoming spot nestled at 38 Saco Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064. Open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the campground offers a mix of tent and RV sites for families and adventurers.
Tent campers will find basic sites in a fenced area (3000-4000 sq ft) without water or electricity. The nearby bathroom is historic but functional. For those with RVs, long-term spots are available.
Pricing starts at $85 tax per night for tents, which some visitors find high compared to other Maine campgrounds. Despite this, the campground's proximity to beaches and attractions makes it a convenient choice.

Needed a place to park my car close to the beach for car camping. This campground had a small spot available with a few days notice. I paid cash for 2 days but then decided to leave early and the manager Miss Peggie refunded me with no issue at all. I felt very inspired by the yellow fluorescent lighting of the office so I took a picture.
85 $ + tax/night for a tent site? The tent section is a 3000 to 4000 square foot fenced area of the campground. The tent sites have no water or electricity. The rest of the campground is occupied by long term RV campers. The bathroom is about 50 yards away and has a historic feel to it to say the least. $85/night for a tent is by far the highest price I have seen in Maine. Considering the general "comfort" level, it is absolutely overpriced. We only spent one night there, and only because we arrived late. $40 would be reasonable at max.
Peggy is such an amazing manager. The campground has a perfect location, right beside old orchard beach. Plus they have free showers! This is a gem when you want to put your tent close to the beach, without having to pay for a hotel. Keep in mind that this campground is more « downtown » so there not a lot of woods around, although the big trees around help to keep the tent cool at night. It was a perfect spot to enjoy fair on old orchard beach! I will book again for sure
Good for what it is.... very great location walkable to the pier and shops/bars, but don’t expect much else. No cable, poor WiFi, bathrooms were pretty gross and they were working on showers so gals could hear guys talking in the bathhouse and guys had to deal w workers. No one there when we checked in so we found them the next day to square up, guy working gave good advice on where to go and what to see. Nice folks walking around and we felt safe. They have quiet hours which was also nice. Overall good three night stop and happy to find somewhere close to the beach.
When we got there I was a little bit apprehensive because it looked a little shady. But I never been more relaxed in my life the staff was very helpful and nice. Wifi pool walking distance to the beach stores etc etc. They had nice little firepits you can roast marshmallows or cook some food. The other campers were nice and respectful it was not loud at all. We are looking forward to going back this year. If you have a family its perfect for the kids and mom and dad 💓. Bathrooms and showers on site as well. They we're clean and nice.
