We had a lovely stay at this gem of a campground. Trudie her self is a super kind and welcoming person. The camping has al lovely stream you look up and hear from some spots. The toilets and shower work perfectly. There is a laundromat just between the general store and saloon so you can wash your clothes there. You can enjoy stargazing and we saw some Elk on the camping at night 😍
The owner me to stay here in the camping area as I was passing through. When she found out I am a Pastor, she said no cost to me. Loved the community and several wanted me to stay on as a Pastor to the area. It was tempting, but not the right timing. This was the summer before the fires nearby. Glad God protected the homes and people. I plan to stop by again, perhaps in October. Nothing but good memories.
Trudie is the sweetest owner, so helpful and kind, she made our stay feel like a warm family visit. A bit secluded peaceful and blissful campground with several moderate level trails around. Night sky is breathtaking and a 3min-walk bar is a great evening entertainment spot after a hot day on a trail.
We ended up here by accident after having to leave Wishon Campground in a hurry (we were literally eaten alive by mosquitoes within the first 4 minutes of setting up camp, even with repellent on). Trudie, the owner of Camp Nelson RV Park, greeted us, helped us get settled, answered all our questions, gave us great tips, and was incredibly helpful. Her campground is impeccably clean, the bathrooms and showers work perfectly, and there's hot water! Plus, there's internet, full hookups, and NO mosquitoes! Our family is thrilled, and we can't believe how lucky we were to stumble upon this place and meet Trudie! We'll definitely be back and will be telling all our friends about this amazing spot!
Stayed in one of the two cabins for two weeks. The place was very comfortable even when it was cold. It was well-equipped for a family, with a queen bedroom, ample loft space, and a fold-out futon in the living room. The kitchen was small and convenient. Set in a scenic environment, with a pond, waterfalls, a small trail, a green meadow, deer wandering around, and ducks to enjoy, it is a peaceful place to stay. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Dogs are allowed!
