New Fork Lake Campground Introduce

Nestled in the heart of Cora, Wyoming, New Fork Lake Campground is a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts and families seeking a peaceful retreat. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, this campground offers a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

The campground features a pristine lake with clean, albeit chilly, waters ideal for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The rugged terrain along the shore adds to the charm, providing a true wilderness experience. For those who prefer to stay on land, there are multiple hiking trails that offer stunning views of the lake and surrounding areas.

New Fork Lake Campground is also a popular spot for family events. The day use area, though with limited parking, provides easy access to the water and is a great place to gather for picnics and activities. The road leading to the campground and day use area is rough, so visitors are advised to drive cautiously, especially if in a car.

Customer feedback highlights the spectacular views and the variety of activities available. One visitor mentioned kayaking in the evening and being mesmerized by the scenery, while another appreciated the multiple hiking trails and the sight of paddle boarders on the lake. The campground's remote location also means that wildlife encounters are possible, so carrying bear spray is recommended.

Whether you're looking to camp under the stars, explore the great outdoors, or simply unwind by the lake, New Fork Lake Campground offers an unforgettable experience. Pack your gear, bring your sense of adventure, and get ready to create lasting memories in this beautiful corner of Wyoming.

This lake was super nice! The water is clean, but cold if u want to swim. People can swim, kayak, fish or just camp. The terrain is rough once there by shore. We kayaked one evening and the view was spectacular. Also used the side by side and got to see the lake from top. Carry your bear spray.

This campground was chosen for a family event. We met at the day use area where the parking is pretty limited but there is easy access to the water. The views are incredible and there are multiple hiking trails around the lake. We saw multiple paddle boarders. The road into the campground and to the day use area are very treacherous and if you are driving in a car you should use a lot of caution.

Very rough and run down campground. 15 sites but most are overgrown and small. Not advised for TT or RVs as the access road is the roughest I have ever encountered, almost need high clearance vehicle. Rate is cheap though..$7 nite. Sites have tables, fire rings, and there is a vault toilet. However No water, trash cans and no cell signal. There is a day use beach area though that is scenic.
