This is one of the nicest KOA Holiday's that we have stayed at as far as sites (concrete) and staff (outstanding). Really nice laundry building with good machines. The General store has all the necessities as well as very reasonably priced gifts. Those who get anxious over backing up your rig, no need to worry. Staff member Dave is a pro and will talk you into perfectly positioning your rig on your spot. The campground is an easy, stress free, 20 minute drive to the French Quarter. Like everywhere in New Orleans, and urban camping in general, it is noisy. With the civilian airport, military airfield, early evening trains, it can be noisy everywhere in NOLA. We will stay here again. Photos are from historic record snowfall 1/21/25

This KOA exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and well maintained. The site was on a level concrete pad and the hookups were in good condition. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and it was great not only having the $15 pp round trip shuttle to the French Quarter (about 1/2 the price of an Uber) but we also really appreciated Dave's tip about the free parking/street car option as well (which we took advantage of and found easy). The laundry room was nicely done (it looks like a little cottage) and the updated washers/dryers were terrific (they still need to update the older ones) and reasonably priced. The bathhouse was clean. We got in late one night and were pleasantly surprised to see the entrance coned off with a live security person there to ensure we were supposed to enter. Overall, you can tell the owners of this place really care about the facility and customer service. We will definitely come back if we visit New Orleans again.

We come here for years. Nice campground with super helpful staff. Clean bathrooms, a lot of amenities you easily can overlook. Best laundry facilities we seen so far on any KOA. Close to the city, 20 minutes to French quarter. Close to any store you need. Shuttle bus is provided to adventure French quarter.

Wife and i stayed here during Mardi Gras as a impromptu trip and the rates were good especially for an event weekend. We had not had high hopes for anything better than a place to park and shower, but this location far exceeded our expectations. Amazing and friendly staff. Cheerful and willing to assist. Cozy spots and when we used the shower/bathroom facility it was above average. These folks take pride in their facility and I have never felt more comfortable and confident in a campground. In addition to that, we went out on the town and returned later in the night to be met with a gentleman at the entry checking folks coming in. If you find yourself wanting to get away and avoid the stress of being in the grit of the city, this is an amazing location for those not worried about being in lavish hotels and enjoy the basics.

We stayed during the recent snow storm and then had a mechanical issue that required an overnight stay in one of their cabins. The sites are easy to back into and the cabin was so clean that I thought we were the first to stay in it! Employees are so friendly and full of information about the area. We saw and did so much more because of their helpful input. Will absolutely stay again. 😊

The cleanest KOA we have stayed at. The maintenance guys were working nonstop. The bathrooms were very clean yet when my husband tried to use them they said they’re cleaning again. I never saw such relentless. This is my type of place. ☺️ Office staff was nice as well.

I stayed here from October of 2023 until January of 2025. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and the location is perfect as you are just a short drive from most anywhere in the NOLA metro area. The park was clean and there were always some improvements taking place within the property. Most importantly I felt safe with my RV here and if the opportunity arises again, I'd love to come back.

We’ve stayed at this KOA many times over the years and never had an issue until now. The new management is a complete disappointment. We had a reservation and backed into our site, only to immediately get a nail in our trailer tire. We reported it to the manager, hoping for at least some basic customer service. Instead, we were met with defensiveness and denial, saying we “could’ve gotten it anywhere” even after we showed them the nail was fresh and the tire was actively hissing. Not once did they show remorse or offer any kind of solution. Eventually, they told us they’ll give us some tools so we could take the tire off ourselves and they will take it to be patched. That’s completely unrealistic this is a full-size trailer, not a bike. It felt like a slap in the face. We left immediately, found help elsewhere, and won’t ever be coming back. We also didn’t want to risk another nail since they made it clear they take no responsibility for anything on their property. This was handled in the worst possible way, and frankly, it’s heartbreaking after so many good stays in the past. The new owners are unprofessional and unhelpful. If you’re traveling with kids or a larger rig, think twice before stopping here.
