This is a small, family owned campground, which they appropriately advertise as “drama free.” What does that mean? It means you are going to have a great, relaxing time with spectacular views of the river when you stay here. The campground is very nicely landscaped and cared for with excellent spacing between level sites. River access on the property. Every site has FHU with a picnic table and fire ring. The bathhouse is kept clean and updated. They have kayaks and canoes to rent with a free shuttle 5 miles up the river included in the rental. If you bring your own kayaks they will haul them up to the same spot for $15. There are tent camping spots as well as bunkhouses for rent. The owners and host are super friendly. The campers I met are also friendly and considerate of the “drama free zone” ensuring everyone has a great time. Laughter, adult beverages, and making new friends is all acceptable, focusing on family-friendly behavior but accepting that it’s vacation time when you’re here. Many repeat customers noted during my time. Come play in the New River!

Had a fantastic 2 night stay. Hands down the most welcoming campground we’ve ever visited. Already looking at booking again!! The campground was beautifully kept up and spacious. The river was so nice and easy to access. I can personally say I’ve never had a host or owner show as much interaction as these guys. The campground has the best atmosphere, they treated us like family! Over all experience was a 10/10!!

We had the most amazing time at this hidden gem of a campground on the New River recently! It was an absolute blast. The atmosphere was so welcoming, and it felt like one big happy family. We loved the spontaneous Southern potluck dinner and had so many laughs with our new camping friends! The hosts were fantastic and really went above and beyond for us. They even provided waterproof phone cases for us on the shuttle ride and made sure we had firewood and easy wifi access. Our bunkhouse (bunkhouse four) was beautifully remodeled with a cozy farmhouse vibe. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. They had a coffee pot with pre-filled coffee grounds ready for us, a mini fridge, a recliner, a chaise lounge, and a lovely new porch - perfect for morning coffee. And let's not forget the bathhouse - the women's room was so clean and cozy, and there was even a cute retro radio in there for shower singing! The kayaking views were breathtaking, and the shuttle was super safe and easy to use. When you return to the campground, you can relax around the community fire pit or just have a quiet night at your site. I can't say enough good things about this little campground on the New River!

I have been a guest for almost 2 months. I live in Grayson County and this campground has been my little getaway for the summer. I love it here. Everyone feels like family. The owners and hosts will do anything they can for you. I have gained so many new friends here. The price is perfect. You can rent kayaks and tubes. They shuttle guests to drop-off points on the river. Heck....you don't even have to be a guest!! You can utilize the services without even camping. This family campground is a treasure. I would recommend it to anyone from anywhere. You better book your stay early. They are very popular because of the atmosphere they provide. Bring your RV for full hookups, tent camp along the river, or rent one of the cute bunkhouses! I am sad to leave. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. All of my local friends came to hangout with me and loved it!! Thank you for a great summer.

This is a very nice little campground. We stayed a month in our camper and it was great. We had a nice level pull-through site and a great view of the river. Well, actually, everyone has a nice view of the river. :) The owners are terrific hosts who made us feel at home. They host events for the park and it's like hanging out with friends. Definitely not your regular RV park. We didn't try any canoe or kayak activities, but it's all right there if that's your thing. You literally can't get any closer. We got to look in a couple of the cabins and they are quite nice. We would definitely go back if we get the chance.
