Newberry Group Camp Site is an ideal destination for those looking to enjoy nature while camping with family or friends. Located in La Pine, OR 97739, this campsite provides a beautiful setting near Paulina Lake, offering easy access to a variety of outdoor activities including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and hiking. The site is perfect for groups, accommodating multiple families and providing a small beach area for swimming and recreation.

Guests have reported hearing hikers moving through the area early in the morning, so those seeking complete quiet should be aware of this potential downside.
Visitors have praised the campsite for its natural beauty and convenience for outdoor enthusiasts. Many appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the lakefront setting while engaging in activities like kayaking or SUPing. However, bug spray is recommended due to the presence of insects in the area.

Beautiful lake front group camping spot for 8+ families. Great access to kayaking, SUPing, and hiking. Downside is that it's right on the popular Paulina Lake trail 7 mile loop and hikers wandered through the middle of our campsite frequently and even very loudly at 7 a.m. one morning.
Small beach. Nice campground. Bring your bug spray. Lots of bugs.
Very nice campground and super clean restrooms.
Cool place
