We were only able to stay here a couple of nights, but it was a nice, quiet campground. We had a back in site, #256 with 3 services with 30-amp power. Sites were nice size and well spaced with trees between sites for privacy. Downgraded cleanliness since our site had litter about the entire site. Looked like an animal had gotten into a garbage bag and it wasn't cleaned up thoroughly. Nice hiking in the park. Easy access of the TCH.

Beautiful campground with an excellent trail that connects to the Coastal Trail. Large, mostly private spaces. We had spacious site no. 65, but there are plenty of similar ones, like 80 at the end of a loop. Ample shower facilities and garbage disposal. One drawback: charcoal grilling was prohibited when we were there in late August 2024 due to an unspecified incident. And there were no fire pits, either. There’s something missing here!

This is a very large campground that accommodates all types of camping, from primitive tents camping to full hookups. It’s all very well laid out, but as with all campgrounds there are good and not so good sites. On my loop which was more for small campers and electric only, the sites on the outside had more privacy. Good location for exploring park trails. I was also able to use it as a base for exploring the Bonavista peninsula which starts about a half hour away.

This is a well maintained park with nice hot showers and clean bathrooms. We had this placed book to spend two nights in our roof top tent but after days of rain and dampness, we were able to take a break and stay in Parks Canada oTentik roof accommodation (thank you Lindsay for making this happened). Great staff, very pleasant and helpful. They also have a laundromat which helped us catch up on laundry and like all other Park Canada we have been to, a nice sheltered area with sinks and picnic tables inside. Thanks again Lindsay.

Wow. This is the best Parks Canada facility in all of Canada. Everything operates i.e. the WiFi, laundromats,etc.. The camping sites are big and private ,for both tenting or trailers/motorhomes. The washrooms are large and with hot showers and very clean….. There are playgrounds for the kids. And the hiking trails start points are on the edge of the campground. You could easily spend 2 weeks here!
