We stayed 1 evening at Newport in our tour of Florida. The host was very kind and accommodating. She allowed us to change sites to one closer to the bathrooms (which were very clean). The cg was quiet, clean and in a great location right outside St Mark's Wildlife Refuge.
Look at this shower house: plenty of room with hooks to hang things, and a shower caddy for your shower items! The camp host here is constantly working to keep the grounds clean, peaceful and safe. For $15 you cannot beat it!
Victoria was amazing, we felt at home, safe and with friends. The bathrooms and showers clean and the water hot. The campground although small is very pretty with many walks. We will be coming back. Thank you!
Cleanest bathrooms I've ever experienced at a campsite! The caretaker was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us. Her love for the place really shows by how well kept it is!
I had same experience as another reviewer today. Always loved staying at Newport Campground until today. I pulled into an empty spot while I looked online for a vacancy, like I’ve done for the past 5 years. Looked out my window to see a woman looking at me with great annoyance and disgust written all over her face. I learned quick that I had just met the new host for the campground. Ugh. I’ll just say, customer service is not one of her strengths. I had no idea the rules had changed and a new sheriff is in town. She let me know real quick my fatal error, not checking in at her booth first. The interaction devolved quickly and I found another campground. Good luck if you choose to stay here. Btw, the showers are not good.
