This park has nice large trails in most cases with beautiful beaches and views provided your willing to walk a bit, there visitors center also has a nice amount of souvenir items to pick up as I like to grab a magnet and a sticker of wherever I've visited. Also they are a great place to star gaze but we didn't stay that late. There definitely a place though where you could spend a couple of days just walking around and enjoying yourself with not to many people around, only bad thing is they don't have a whole lot of bathrooms around as they are a bit stretched out and more of a hiking park, but I still would definitely love to vist them again someday!!
The colors on our way to the park and in the park were spectacular! This was our first time to this park and enjoyed our hike along the shore. It’s one of our smaller state parks but still very beautiful.
Wish I could give it a bad review to avoid it getting too crowded. Pictures are of campsite 6. The main trails are pretty easy, wide and mostly flat. The water and beach is pretty calm and clean. Night sky is spectacular for us city folk that suffer from light pollution.
Great hike! Lake Michigan on one side and Europe Lake on the other side. Views are outstanding! Some elevation. A good workout.
Another gorgeous, heavily forested park on the shores of the sparkling Lake Michigan, and what makes this park so unique is that it’s one of the best spots in America for gazing up at the night sky and the stars. Even if you’re here during daylight hours, there are still spectacular sights worth seeing, such as the crystal clear water and the jagged cliffs of the northern edges of the park. You might even find a bald eagle soaring majestically over Lake Michigan, like I did as soon as I walked to the edge of the shoreline.
