This place was great. At least it was far better.. In the last month a board meeting was held and at that meeting the board agreed on a price increase. Most rent based increases are between 30-40%. The park district increased close to 85%. At no point of any of my stays or while I was making reservations at the beginning of the year it was mentioned anything about rate increases it happened overnight. This is what the park looks like with high rent. Went from 12 to 14 campers to 3 to 4. Nightly rates 35 for no hook-ups 40 for water and sewer 60-65 concrete pad and full hook-ups. Attached photos show different rates and spots that they offer. I would expect that there would be improvements made to show why they are increasing the rates. Maintenance starts there day early in the morning. Rules do not allow for golf cats or motorized vehicles but Maintenance comes by as the sun comes up. This place looks dead.
By far my favorite RV spot so far! Plenty of room for RVs. Big beautiful trees and plenty of them! It was so pleasant to hear the softball games Thursday night and Sunday. And the fun, people were having at the horseshoe pits. At least four softball fields, a dog run, children's play area and open field and dirt race track&more- what a great park for the neighborhood! Highly recommend! Great price at $35 a night!
It’s on the back side of Nobel park. As of 9/24 there’s lots of construction traffic that is currently working on the power lines adjacent. It has a very nice dog park that is well maintained and shopping a mile away. Good cell service but no WiFi or cable.
I travel full time and stop at dog parks to let my pup run out her energy before we do a long drive to the next place. I tried to get a space for the night because it got dark and Im not safe to drive at night. They told me they couldn't rent me a space for the night because I'm not technically an RV. I have a very small pull behind trailer. I then found a space a good ways away from the park but close enough I could walk to the dog park in the morning before we took off. There was no signs saying I couldn't park for a night and the managers knew I was there they watched me set up for bed. I had no problems through the night but in the morning the managers woke me up at 6am and told me I had to leave. I told them I plan on it once the fog settles and after I run my pup and estimated about 1pp ish depending on the weather most likely sooner that I'd be gone. They said that was fine and I went about my morning routine. The next think I know I have 3 cops pulled up on me and threaten to tow my car and trailer and arrest me for threatening the manager and doing drugs. I showed all my paperwork and explained my side of things and they told me to get on the high way and get out of town cus if they see me again they are gonna arrest me and town my home. Be careful of the managers they will act nice to ur face and then be jerks behind ur back. They effectively ran me out of town because they denied me a place to stay that I was willing to pay for and got mad I found one for free. I would be careful here the managers are not nice. The people are great and the dog park is nice just not the managers.
This RV park has great potential but has serious issues. The power posts are 50 amp ONLY so bring an adapter if you're only 30 amp. Would've been nice to know that beforehand since sites listed as 30/50 & had to run to Walmart during rush hour to buy adapter. Power and water worked fine, didn't use sewer hookup. The RV park is essentially bare dirt & concrete sites. The weeds and "goat heads" have overrun this place. Every time I walked around I got stickers in my shoes. The unpaved dirt sites are covered in weeds. Also be very careful as gophers or ground squirrels have dug up holes everywhere making walks in the grass hazardous. The park is not well maintained at all, which is a shame because it's an otherwise nice green space. There are large overhead powerlines just to the north. Overall, I would stay again if it were solely for an event/emergency. Other than that I wouldn't go back.
