I haven't smelt bathrooms this bad since Joshua tree. This is a 1 star campsite in a 4 star canyon. You are packed in like sardines, the only amenity is the toilet and trash and its so disgusting they should be paying you to camp here. That bathroom will shave years off your life.. not worth paying.

Great location across the river from the highway with plenty of shade. Unfortunately the stench from the two conveniently located toilets is otherworldly and wafts throughout the campground, leaving you no escape. I suppose one option would be to keep a smokey fire going day and night to try to smoke it out, but who wants to deal with that? We’ve never had an experience remotely like this one, including camping overseas. Wow.

We have previously camped here since other campgrounds were full. At that time the stretch from the main road to the campground was so awful. This time that stretch was still awfully bad. Potholes, dips and craters were about ready to swallow any moving vehicle. The walls in vault toilets were rotting with peeling paint. The minute you lift the toilet lid, flies would attack you from inside the vault, yikes! Bad road, bad facilities, bad maintenance. Will not return.

Absolutely gorgeous spot to camp. Right on the Taylor river. Tons of trees for shade. Deep fire pits with grill grate. Fed hummingbirds from my hand as they flew around. Great fishing. Camp host Gene was friendly and had firewood.
