Customer Reviews
RV Camping: You get all the basic necessities here. Water. Power. Dump at the front. No playground. No showers. No separate bathrooms. Fires are allowed. There’s a ton of room for parking. The benefit of this basic campground is that you are around everything. Literally. Everything.
The reservation system is a complete mess. Arrived at 2 am to all the spots that were supposed to be “available” for our event were taken then was told we could park in an empty spot. The next day we were told to move for a person that wasn’t here for our event. No real reservations were kept and it was terrible to try to find a level spot.
Beautiful grassy sites with level, compacted gravel for parked RV. Sites offer 50 amp, water and sewer. Some shade trees. Convenient location for campground with smooth, paved entryways. Well kept, clean and you feel safe/secure. Very reasonable rates for a campground when you need to stopover.
This is the campground located at the State Fairgrounds, so it's mainly a place to park and hook up. Newly paved road leading to the site area is really nice! New reservation site is a definite plus! As always Security staff is super courteous and helpful 👍 😀. Quiet and peaceful place to stay while in Raleigh and oh yeah Affordable! Always events at the fairgrounds to attend!
Lots of stuff to do at the fair. I recommend parking at the Wolfpack lot. Not too far away, nice distance. Inside, the ATMs seem a little sketchy and ticket prices have gone up, but overall a fun once a year experience.
