North End Campground Introduce
Welcome to North End Campground, a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located in Olga, Washington, USA. Situated on a beautiful island with access to surrounding lake trails, North End Campground offers a natural setting for camping. Reviews from visitors provide insights into its amenities and environment, offering a balanced perspective for local users considering a stay.
The environment of North End Campground is described as pristine and beautifully maintained. The campground provides access to "awesome" trails around the lake, offering opportunities for hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the island. The overall location is considered good, making it convenient to access the island's attractions. However, it's worth noting that tent campsites do not have electric access. Some tent sites, like site 101 mentioned in a review, may have a significant hill leading down from the parking area without stairs, which could be challenging for transporting gear and repeated trips to the car.
Services at North End Campground include restrooms and showers, which one reviewer found to be clean and well-kept. However, another review points out a significant limitation: there are only two showers total for the entire North End Campground (one in the men's and one in the women's bathroom), which may not be sufficient for a large, family-friendly campground, potentially leading to wait times. Additionally, there is no separate changing area in the bathrooms, which can further contribute to congestion. On the positive side, having showers available is noted as a plus, and they are easy to get to. Cell service is also available at the campground.
Features of North End Campground include its appeal to various types of travelers, including families, pet owners, solo travelers, and groups. The well-maintained campsites and clean facilities are positive features. The proximity to lake trails is a major draw for outdoor enthusiasts. The campground is pet-friendly, allowing dogs as long as owners clean up after them. However, some tent campsites are reported to be quite small. The close proximity of campsites to each other and the potential for noise from children might make it less ideal for couples seeking a quiet getaway.
Currently, no specific promotional information is available for North End Campground based on the provided reviews. Local users interested in staying here should be aware of the limited shower facilities and the potential for small and/or hilly tent sites without electric access. Families with children might find it well-suited to their needs, while those seeking a quieter experience might want to consider these factors. It is recommended to check with the campground management or online booking platforms for information on site availability, pricing, and any specific rules or recommendations.
For local users looking for a camping option in Olga, WA, North End Campground offers a location on a beautiful island with access to lake trails. While it boasts well-maintained campsites and clean facilities, be aware of the limited number of showers and the potential challenges of some tent sites. I had an amazing experience at this location with my family. The campsite was pristine and beautifully maintained with plenty of amenities to make our stay comfortable. The surrounding trails around the lake are awesome! The facilities, including the restrooms and showers, were clean and well-kept. It's a great place for families, pets, solo travelers, and groups alike. I can’t wait to come back for another adventure! Highly recommended!
The campground is ok but there are a lot of campsites and not enough facilities. For the entirety of the North end campground there are two showers total.. one in mens and one in women's bathroom. For such a large family friendly place, it's not enough to have only one shower in the bathrooms. There's no separate changing area which also clogs up the line to the shower. Pluses tho-Having a shower was a plus and is easy to get to. We had cell service and the location was good with good access to trails. The island is beautiful so definitely worth visiting. No electric access for tent sites and the campsites for tents at least are pretty small. I didn't like that ours had such a hill to get down to the campsite from the parkin area. Some sites had stairs, ours at 101 did not. Such pain going up and down from the car after so much hiking. The campsites are pretty close to each other and lots of loud screeching children. No offense to the families but probably better for people with kids than couples looking for a getaway.
On of the most beautiful lakes I have ever visited. The hiking up to Mt Constitution is breathtaking. So many places to hike. The bathrooms are clean and the shower is hot. The lake is wonderful for swimming and it's great for paddle boarding or kayaking. There's awesome ice cream and bratwurst at the lakeside cafe.
This is a nice State Park Campground overall. It’s typically PNW heavily wooded and damp with mossy dirt surfaces. No electric at sites and one threaded spigot for possible rv filling. They say that trailers up to 20’ are ok and there were larger ones in the campground when we were there but it’s tight in the trees and narrow on roads and sites both. It’s also a very vertical campground so plan on climbing and dropping. The sites look level but really are not so we had trouble getting the trailer level and the soft surface is pretty slippery. The bathhouse is nice and clean with pay showers, $0.50 every 3 minutes. I had a nice warm shower my wife’s was cold. There were lots of families with little kids and mostly tent campers and vans so it was a nice crowd. The island is beautiful, the hike up to the fire tower is really nice and the lake is scenic so what the campground lacks in development it makes up for in surrounding beauty.
Really nice campground. Good sized spots. The lake is amazing. Clean bathrooms and nice shower. Cute little playground.
