North River Campground is located in a picturesque open area that was originally constructed as a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp. Remnants of the original sites and logging trails can still be found today, adding to the campground's unique character. North River Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not accepted. The campground is typically open from early March to late December. Please note that campsites are limited to one RV or two tents, no more than two vehicles, and no more than eight persons per site. For more information, please contact the North River Ranger District.
