Sadly not as great as this amazing park deserves. We stayed the week before Memorial Day. Weather was great and the lake and amenities were as well. The camps sites on the other hand were appalling. Not one site we stayed at was remotely leveled. The first site we were assigned had mid shin high grass that they wouldn’t mow because we were there and the second has such a slope we needed 6 inches under our tires to level one side of our camper. And that’s not to mention that I had to pay ~$50 a night. In my opinion for the cost Devils Lake Camping is not worth it if you can find something else.
It's much better than Quartzite, IMHO. But honestly, this is not one of my favorite parks. it's always crowded, lots of kids making lots of noise *at inappropriate times*. The sites are pretty well stacked on top of each other so make sure you preview your site before you book! some sites are great, some terrible. And book waaaaaaay in advance. like several months.
This place is great. Bathrooms are a little old but generally clean. Water is good for drinking. Camp sights are clean and well put together. There is a good amount of space and privacy from other camp sights. Plenty of trees for a hammock. Good firewood at the front desk. It was $24 for 4 bundles or 6.50 for one.
Great camping area. Sites have room at them and wood area and fire rings. The camping grounds are very well kept up. Very happy with this location.
Nice place to camping, make sure you bring a lot o bottles of mosquitoes repellent 😂😂
