We booked several nights at the campground to rest and relax before completing the last leg of a cross country trip, and we are so glad that we did! EVERYONE at this resort was super helpful and friendly. There are many seasonal campers who have been there for years. They invited us in and made our stay feel like we were home among friends. Naomi's pet grooming in Isle rents kayaks and even delivered/picked up at our site! While we didn't catch any fish (may flies still hatching!) the kayaks were a fun way to enjoy the lake. MSA/VFW is across the street and visitors are welcome. Food was good and the staff super friendly. We will try to return here from PA again!!!!
We attended The Wharf/Toucan's Party in the Bay this time around. We never actually went into the restaurant/bar, but instead, swam up to their boat and purchased drinks there. However, we were in the bar/restaurant for drinks last year. It's on the smaller side, but has a great, homey, feel. Drinks were good, and average resort prices. ($5.00 for a drink from the drink menu) The resort area looks very nice, and well kept.
For the longest time we have heard how wonderful the food is at Toucan’s. Today we decided to take a ride and find out the location and check the place out. We did not eat but, we did stop in for a drink. We were very impressed with the menu we looked at. We thought the selections were great and the prices were affordable. What really impressed us the most were the employees. They were very polite, pleasant, and informative. They made us feel relaxed, comfortable, and very welcome. Next time we go out to eat we’re heading to Toucan’s and are looking forward to it. See you in the near future!
We took our daughter and her friend to the Wharf's Family Fall Festival. It was small but the kids had fun with the bouncy house, pumpkin and rock painting and small face painting. It was nice to walk around on the shore. Bartender inside was very nice and helpful and the pizza was ready quivkly and was very hot, cheesy and good!
The best food on the lake. For example, everyone loves the Walleye Cakes so much that sold out last Friday. Even though I was disappointed I got to try something new and loved that too. Everyone loves the food and the atmosphere. One suggestion: bring back the Muffallata!! Best with service at the bar.
