Best campground for tent camping. Peaceful. Watch great sunset and starry nights.
Primitive camping area located at the west end of the park. Strictly walk-in, it is approx. 100 yards from the parking lot to the campsites. Nicely wooded area near the water, but there are no facilities or water. Nearest restroom is in the Deer Haven campground on the main park road near the turn-off into the primitive camping parking lot. An easy walk from the parking lot. Not really near any of the park's trails or facilities, it is a nice area close to the water and the least expensive sites in the park.
One of the best TX State Park walk in camping sites in North TX. Quiet, clean, easy access, spacious and has multiple water faucets.
Everthing was very clean. (Restrooms, shower, campground and shore by the lake). We had a great lake view. A long walk to restroom and vehicle. Hot water in the showers:)
Great tent camp site for scouts Bathrooms are an easy walk and the lake is out your back door …err flap.
