We had a GREAT stay at this lovely family campground. The owners are seriously so nice. We had previously booked a weekend here and had to cancel at the last minute. They offered to let us rebook for a different weekend so we wouldn't lose our deposit – it was so kind of them to offer that, because they would've been well within their rights to just pocket the money for the canceled stay. And can we talk about the fact that they offered to help us back in when we arrived? This is the first campground we've been to where we have been offered that. This campground is in a great location. We were staying here because we wanted to visit Lewis Adventure Farm (so worth it!) and this was just a 20-min drive away. It's also super close to many beautiful Lake Michigan beaches, and we had a wonderful time exploring a gorgeous county park nearby. We prefer campgrounds that have a more wooded/rustic feel and this definitely fit the bill. We had lots of trees and lots of privacy. Our site was big enough to fit our 30-foot camper, truck, and shade tent, with plenty of room to spare. Thanks for a great stay! We look forward to returning next summer.

Stayed in a camper Thursday, Friday, Saturday, left on Sunday. Nice owners. Nice site. I tried to sleep on the bunk bed the first night, but the thing you lay on is much too thin, making it very uncomfortable. I switched to the pullout sofa for the other nights. Could not access phone data. The free WiFi made it so I could barely watch a video on the lowest quality. You can pay for better internet, but I chose not to. I get it, internet costs money. Wait, does "Service" mean "customer service" or "internet service"? I think it's "customer service"...

Wonderful campground with amazing hosts! We had a full hookup site right next to the camp store and it was huge. The campground is very clean, the owners were out working every day we were there. We saw them grating the roads, chopping wood and cleaning every day. It's 15 minutes from michigan adventure and about 30 from Silver Lake Sand Dunes. We did both. I'm glad we found this place, we will be back. The owners were kind and helpful from the minute we got there. He helped me back my trailer in, they sold me some firewood even tho they were closed which was so helpful we would have been left without a campfire the first night, and they let me use their portal compressor to fill my low trailer tires. Highly recommend this camp ground, kid and family friendly, tons to do!

We were there Monday through Thursday so it wasn't very busy. The owners are super nice and helpful. There are many trees in the campground. There are around 60 sites and four cabins. Each cabin has an easy up canopy over the picnic table. All sites have picnic tables and a fire pit. The picnic tables are in good shape. The campground is really clean. There is a lake across the road with a swimming area. I would suggest walking to the lake as opposed to driving as there isn't a lot of parking areas. There are many really nice rustic sites for tenting. There is a very nice dish washing area near the restrooms for the rustic sites. There is a small store with some essentials. There is a nice older store about a mile away. They have washers and dryers which are fairly new. There is WiFi that works quite well throughout the campground. There is a nice pavilion with lights and picnic tables. There is a really nice loop walk. On the loop walk there is a scavenger hunt that should be great for kids. They have to find 12 different animals on the walk. It is an easy trail to walk and marked well. There is a playground for the kids. They also have badminton, horseshoes and corn hole. The only thing that I wished were different was the bathrooms. They were definitely sufficient but could use a few updates. They could use a bench area in each shower area, more hooks for hanging towels and clothes on and some sort of bath mat in the shower. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. If you tent this is perfect for you. I would recommend this campground. It's somewhat small family run campground with super friendly owners. I didn't know that skinks were native to Michigan. But we were lucky enough to see one at the campground and get a picture! I guess that at 66 years old you can still learn new things!

When you're at this family campground you feel like part of their family. We just got back from an amazing weekend here. Dave and Jenny were fantastic from the start. Jenny would host bingo at night and would drive to each campsite to see who wanted to play and it was a lot of fun! Dave is normally in the office/store and is extremely helpful! The store is packed with the basic camping essentials and brochures of activities in the area. Dave is also very good at providing recommendations for things to do as well and even offered to call a kayak rental company for us since we had no cell service. The campground itself I would day is a nice medium size campground with nice size lots big enough for two tents. Some sites are electric and offer water as well, but we stayed with a basic suite with no water of electric. Fire pits are on each site but one thing they didn't have which a lot of other campsites we've been to have are grilling grates that go over the fire pit. So if you're looking to cook your meals over the fire like we did you may want to bring one with. Bathrooms, yes this campsite has working plumbing and showers as well. While I was skeptical on their cleanliness I was very surprised by how clean they were and by campground standards they were extremely clean. The shower area had a nice changing area and the water was nice and hot. As far as things to do on the grounds itself. This place has a nice playground for kids, a volleyball net, basketball hoop, horse shoes, and corn hole. Also don't worry if you don't have the stuff for it cause you can borrow it from the main office. There's also a little hiking trail towards the back which has fun things to try and find a long the way. I've been to many campground and this one is one of my absolute favorites. The staff is amazing, the sites are well kept, and it's a great place to relax and have fun.

They put a Verizon cell tower on their property, which is viewable from the campsites and Big Blue Lake. It ruins that “Boondock” vibe you get me you don’t have cell service… I guess that’s the world we live in. You can’t escape it.
