This campground has been fully renovated and it is amazing. Plenty of flat sites with lots of room. The views are great and the people are friendly. We stayed during a recent storm where a RV suddenly fell prey to a pine tree. The conservation staff immediately jumped into action and cleared the tree from the camper leaving no trace of the incident. Everyone was unharmed and the site was as good as new.
The renovated campground is really nice! We enjoyed our primitive campsite next to the water. It was very conveniently close to have fresh water and electric hookups on site. The heated bathrooms were just a few hundred yards away and were really nice because it was cold during our stay. Firewood sold at the store was expensive compared to other state parks I’ve visited recently and was younger wood, so it smoked a lot when burning. Camp store was better than many, but still somewhat sparse in supplies (no AAA batteries available, but they did have several other types of batteries). All in, I was impressed with the new campground!
Nice camping location with modern facilities. Fairly flat camp sites with a good fine gravel surface. Full hook-ups. Good OTA TV and cell signals. Nice staff. Shower temperature could not be set as desired, one shower was too hot and another was too cold. Only one source of water at the dump station and it was not marked so I assumed it was non-drinkable and filled at the camp site instead. Great access to nature. Very hilly area.
Recently renovated campgrounds, great bathrooms with family restrooms, great for us traveling with a baby. The sites are spacious and the park offers so many trails and activities. We can’t wait to go back and spend more time because one night was not enough
The new construction at the campground is very nice. We have always loved the park itself; the hiking is top notch.
