My husband and I have been staying here for almost 2 years now, while he finishes his duty for the military at the base here in Charleston. There's a pool, 2 bath houses that are always kept clean, a large dog run that's perfect for our 3 dogs, a laundry mat on site, a playground for any children staying here, and a pond for fishing. We have never had any issues with the staff or other campers and feel it's very reasonably priced for what you get. When you check in the staff give you a map of the grounds and explain all the rules before you sign for your stay. WiFi and cable are also included in all sites. They have pull through and back sites as well as 30 and 50 amp sites, a dump station for the water and electric only sites. Overall we've had nothing but a wonderful experience in the last 2 years. The staff have been nothing short of polite and helpful. Traffic can be a concern, not that the campground can control that, but included in our check in packet were turn by turn directions to all major highways via right turn since turning left during during Charleston's rush hour traffic is difficult. The staff have always been kind when I've had to ask for directions or recommendations and even when getting change for laundry. I will always recommend this place to fellow travelers, friends, and family. Safe travels!

I would give it a 5 star if it wasn't for the terrible traffic on the road getting out. It's almost impossible to make a left out of the Campground OR to make a left at the Light! The Campground itself was great! Large, spacious spots! Lots of trees, great for shade! Good for big rigs! Fenced dog park! We didn't use the bathhouse or laundry. About 25 minutes to downtown Charleston. Publix around the corner. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Would recommend if in the area.

Great place to stay. Not so thrilled with the traffic. Trying to make a left hand turn onto the highway is a bear. They were very accommodating after we ended up stranded longer than expected due to our truck breaking down.

Second trip here. Stayed a week. Staff was friendly. Sites were maintained. Very quiet campground. If you are looking for a resort style campground, this isn't for you. If you want to have your camper near historic Charleston. This is for you. Pool is nice. Dog park is nice.

This campground is right on Rt. 17. So there is constantly heavy traffic. It is practically impossible to make a left in or out of there. We had a nice sized lot, under a huge oak tree. The shade was nice, but constantly being pelted by acorns was not. Also, we had sap on our truck and rv. What a mess. The laundry room only had 4 washers and 2 dryers, which is not enough for a campground with 200 sites.
