Oak Ridge Inn & Campground Introduce
As a prominent and well-regarded establishment within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Oak Ridge Inn & Campground offers a unique and comprehensive outdoor experience in the heart of Webb Lake, Wisconsin. This destination stands out by seamlessly integrating a comfortable camping environment with a full-service inn and restaurant, all while providing unparalleled access to both lake recreation and extensive trail systems. It caters particularly to seasonal campers and those seeking a vibrant community atmosphere combined with outdoor adventure.
Oak Ridge Inn & Campground is beautifully situated on the north shore of pristine Webb Lake, an 800-acre body of water in Wisconsin's scenic Northwoods. The campground benefits from a significant amount of shoreline, offering campers direct access to the lake's beauty and recreational opportunities. The environment is characterized by a mix of shady, secluded campsites nestled among trees and more open areas. This wooded setting provides a sense of peace and privacy, allowing campers to truly relax and enjoy nature. The highlight of the environment is undoubtedly Webb Lake itself, known for its clear waters and excellent fishing. The fact that Upper Webb Lake has no public access, with Oak Ridge Campground boasting its own private boat launch, contributes to a more exclusive and less crowded boating and fishing experience. The landscape is typical of the Northwoods, with lush forests and fresh air, creating an ideal backdrop for both active pursuits and tranquil relaxation.
Oak Ridge Inn & Campground distinguishes itself with its comprehensive array of services, setting it apart from many traditional campgrounds. While information specifically states they do not offer overnight or weekly camping, the primary focus is on seasonal (permanent) sites. These seasonal sites come with full hookups, including electric, water, and septic, eliminating the need for frequent tank pumping. This makes it a truly hassle-free "home away from home" for long-term campers. Key services and facilities include:
- On-site Restaurant and Bar (Oak Ridge Inn): This is a major amenity, providing campers with easy access to delicious homemade food, ice-cold drinks, and a lively social hub. The restaurant is open to the public and offers a large breakfast selection on weekends, along with lunch and dinner options.
- Private Boat Launch: A significant convenience for lake enthusiasts, allowing campers to easily launch their boats onto Webb Lake without the need to use public access points.
- Private Boat Slips: For seasonal campers, 28 private boat slips are available for rent, allowing them to keep their boats on the lake for the season.
- 24/7 Fuel Pumps: On-site gas pumps provide round-the-clock access to fuel for vehicles, ATVs, and snowmobiles, a crucial convenience for trail riders.
- Laundry Facility: A shower house with laundry facilities is centrally located within the park, adding to the comfort for seasonal residents.
- Pet-Friendly: The campground welcomes pets, allowing furry family members to enjoy the outdoor experience.
- Game Room: A kids' game room offers entertainment for younger guests.
- Showers: Free showers are available for campers.
- Wood for Sale: Firewood is available for purchase on-site, adhering to local regulations.
- ATM and Credit Cards Accepted: For financial convenience.
The management at Oak Ridge Inn & Campground is committed to fostering a strong sense of community and provides a well-maintained property, making it a very appealing option for those seeking a long-term camping solution.
The features of Oak Ridge Inn & Campground are strongly geared towards maximizing recreational opportunities, particularly for ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts, as well as lake lovers.

- Excellent Fishing: Webb Lake is known for its fishing, providing ample opportunities for anglers.
- Boating: The private boat launch and available boat slips make it easy for campers to enjoy sunrises and sunsets on the water with moderate traffic.
- Swimming: Access to 500 feet of sandy beach for swimming and relaxation.
- Canoeing/Kayaking: The calm waters of Webb Lake are ideal for paddling, and outfitters in the area offer rentals if campers don't bring their own.
- On-site Dining & Social Hub: The Oak Ridge Inn and bar serve as a central gathering place, offering not just food and drink but also a convivial atmosphere for campers and locals alike.
- Proximity to Scenic Rivers: Burnett County is home to two National Scenic Riverways, the Namekagon River and the St. Croix River, offering more opportunities for paddling and exploring beyond Webb Lake.
- Planned Activities: While not as extensively detailed as some family resorts, the presence of a game room and the emphasis on a family-friendly atmosphere suggest a focus on ensuring an enjoyable stay for all ages.
Oak Ridge Inn & Campground promotes itself as a premier recreation destination where "everything you need to relax, unwind and escape is right here in the heart of the Northwoods." The key message revolves around the combination of comfort (on-site amenities, full hookups) and adventure (lake and trail access). It emphasizes making "memories to last a lifetime" through adventure, camping, and community. The year-round operation of the restaurant/bar further highlights its appeal beyond just the summer camping season, catering to snowmobilers and other winter enthusiasts.
While the campground provides a comprehensive experience, its location in Webb Lake, Wisconsin, also offers access to a variety of nearby attractions and activities:
- Burnett County Trail System: The campground is a direct gateway to over 80 miles of ATV and snowmobile trails, which traverse scenic landscapes and connect to welcoming bars and restaurants in the area.
- National Scenic Riverways: The Namekagon River and St. Croix River offer additional opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and enjoying pristine river environments.
- Voyager Village Golf Course: An 18-hole championship golf course is located just 20 minutes from the campground, providing a day getaway for golf enthusiasts.

- Danbury, WI: Another nearby town with basic services and access to other parts of the trail system.
- Fishing and Hunting: Beyond Webb Lake, the surrounding areas offer additional fishing lakes and hunting opportunities on public lands.

Customer Reviews
Great little stop out on the trails. We had some excellent appetizers, nice cocktails, and the service was great. Will definitely be back.
Every year we stop by Oak Ridge, have breakfast. Then bar hop around the lakes and end up back at Oak Ridge for drinks and the meat raffle. Great place to relax and have a good time
Though getting to this casual restaurant on a lake seems a bit out of the way, the rugged road is well worth traveling. The food was excellent ~ fish fry was delicate and delicious served very hot with a homemade tarter sauce. The view of Webb Lake from most anywhere inside the restaurant is gorgeous. This is a classic clean Wisconsin tavern with great food. The entire interior is old world timber and unpainted lumber. We loved the choice of tables with tall chairs, booths or eating at the bar. Owner/server was lighthearted and very knowledgeable of local fishing spots. This place is charming, really fun and very comfortable. Great gathering spot for families and good place for a date. Full bar available. About an hour south of Duluth.
This place is great! Was there scouting seasonal sites and having the Inn on-site with great people, staff and owners made our decision to choose Oak Ridge and easy one. Was up this last weekend for the delivery of our camper and stopped in and had breakfast and even though they were busy getting ready for St Paddy's the staff were friendly and took time to have conversations and give us the low-down on events and happenings over the summer. Looking forward to a great camping season at Oak Ridge!!!
Food is fresh, hot & Delicious while the drinks are ice cold, nicely mixed & they have several Carbliss flavors too! The owners/staff at Oak Ridge Inn & Campground are one of a kind! You won’t find the kind of “family community” that they openly offer with help/friendliness/care & concern of its campers/locals & strangers alike! Webb Lake views are absolutely stunning from inside/outside of the Inn! The kids are able to swim in the Lake, inside of the U shaped boat dock section at the Inn, while enjoying their Shirley Temples (safe & shallow beach area). Don’t forget your $1 bills for the kids to play the Duck Claw Machine (play till you win). We also love that our fur-baby is welcome there outside at the picnic tables with us on leash. Just an overall great establishment!
