Nice campground close to downtown Fredericksburg, the managers and staff are all fantastic! Good amenities, clean hot showers, and laundry, etc. plus they are constantly making improvements. Some road noise, but it’s not bad and it is quiet at night. They have sites in the trees and in the open. This was my second time staying there, and would definitely stay again.
This is my second trip to Oakwood RV resort. I was more aware of what to expect this time and everything went perfectly. I had a premium site this time which was a little bit larger and had a nice fire pit and picnic table. The site was level enough that I didn’t have to use my levelers. The managers are lovely and helpful. They were very helpful when I locked myself out of my RV. We were able to rent the party room for our group and that was a wonderful amenity. It rained all day the day we were having our party and so we were grateful for the space. Space is very clean and very roomy. I will definitely return to this location, it’s in a good area of Fredericksburg and near all of the sites I want to see.
Staff is very nice and helpful. Nice wine events on Friday nights and other things to do but the surrounding grass and dog park is full of stickers. Not a problem for large dogs with tough paws but not good for our indoor pups. Found a small dog area behind the office that was mostly dirt and that worked for our small dogs. Spaces are very close together so really no privacy. Great location to downtown, wineries, and venues. Facilities were nice and clean. Good value for the money. Follow-up following response from owner - we looked over the fence into the dog area and did see stickers so we did not venture any further into the interior to know if there were more stickers. We know they are difficult to eradicate and appreciate the efforts you make.
This was a great place for an RV rally in fall. The park managers were excellent and did all they could to make our stay and our rally run smoothly. When there was a need they responded immediately with help. We all had a great time. The sites were level and some were shady and all close to the event hall with a full kitchen which we greatly appreciated for our activities.
Very nice RV park just 5 minutes from downtown F-Burg. Clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful trees. It's on a main road but traffic noise is minimal. Stayed there two years in a row, would stay again.
