It is one of my favorite places actually! The Rangers are very friendly and they have a little store for ice and wood and some other small things. It's peaceful there. Oh and there are allot of birds.
Nice, clean park with multiple spaces for tents and RVs. We were able to park in a pull-through with our 35-ft fifth-wheel easily. We were there during the off-season, so we didn't hook up to water or electricity. The lake is a short walk and is lovely even in the fall/winter. There are a few spots further along the road past the entrance to the park that could be used as free parking. If you follow the road through the park to get back onto the highway, please be advised that there is a bridge with 13'6 clearance.
If you want designated camping sites, green grass (depending on time of year), bathrooms and showers, access to the lake and beach on foot, by car, and/or boat this is perfect spot. Many other campers around but noise wasn't too bad at night. Some generators ran until 10 PM or a little later but pretty easy going group. Lots of kids riding 4wheelers having fun and everyone loving the beautiful views of the lake. Weather can change in a minute from calm and sunny to windy and rainy.
I was camping last night at this camp ground. The reason for giving 4 star as because they don't have individual rv dump area as well as do not have that in camp ground. Though they have dump station outside the camp ground across the road. Nicely maintained camp ground..... water and power supply available to every camp side..... Beautiful view of yuba lake......
This is a beautiful park. We were traveling through on our way home from a trip to Canada. The camp spot was perfect and when we arrived that afternoon the bathrooms were very clean. The next morning before we left my husband went down to the bathroom and said it was so trashed, looked like someone either threw fish guts or they vomited in the sink. What a shame for the workers that had to deal with that. People are disgusting. There are even flush toilets and garbage cans in the bathroom so why do this. Very sad!
