Customer Reviews
What an wonderful place to camp! We had a group of 13 campers from May 10th-12th, 2019 and this site worked nicely for us. There are plenty of large tables, a nice fire pit, a grill, and very clean restrooms with flush toilets and excellent showers! There was a power outlet in the bathroom, which is useful. There was plenty of space for our tents and there is room for hammocks. The views were so beautiful and there is a nice interpretive trail next to the Oasis site. There is another nice trail right across the road. We enjoyed watching the sunset atop the rock formation next to the site. The views from this spot were stunning! The park rangers were so nice and helpful. The only thing I wish was different is to have one or two covered tables at this site, as it rained much of the time we were there. We will definitely be back here!
Look at this view! It can all be yours if you stay in the Oasis campground. Lovely Kodachrome nature trail right outside your entrance. Amazing showers, heated bathrooms, nothing but stars. 5 stars from me.
I love the Basin Campground, and Kondachrome State Park is phenomenal, but I gotta say this group site is somewhat of a let down. First of all it is for tents only, and second the parking lot for it is a shared parking lot for the trail heads. If you needed to group camp I would try to reserve a few spots first unless you are tent campers.
Excellent camp site that can accommodate 35 people!
This was a great campground with good showers and bathrooms. While there were hikers that used the same parking lot there was separation between the trails and campsite.
