This was my parents and I go to campground when I was a kid. We would make the trek all the way from L.A. to camp at least 3 times a year. Caught a lot of breakfast trout out of the creek and nearby river.
Great little campground. Almost hate sharing this place because it's never crowded and absolutely beautiful. You can do a little day hike to Emma lake which is loaded with Brook trout and stunning views.
Clean campground. Folks here know this place well as it gets crowded during camping/hunting season. Glad that folks here believe in leave no trace like me.
June 2023, lots has been washed away from the storms. campground is not closed, but the bathrooms currently are, and it seems only the first couple of sites are accessible without a monster of a 4wd. beautiful and peaceful with a walking path at the back
For a wide open landscape this campground offers some seclusion. The campsites I observed were all tucked into groves of trees and spaced far enough apart you wouldn’t feel crowded even if the campground was full
