Ocean Pond Campground

I love this place! Rangers here go above and beyond to help answer any questions. Ocean pond is beautiful and swimming water is warm and relaxing. We loved our camp and water spigot was convienant. We chose a site with no electric and we did not need electric tent camping. I really appreciate that the park services provide many sites to choose from for tent campers. I can't wait to visit again and truly had one of the best experiences camping here! Osceola has some of the most beautiful pine trees I have ever seen anywhere in the US!! In my heart I am praying for this forest and all of Florida to recover and reopen from recent hurricanes soon. I thank the staff for all there hard work and hope one day I can be a camp host here in this paradise! Thanks!!

Very nice campground. I was surprised that it was full and I got a spot only because somebody else left. The restroom and shower were clean. The lake is very nice and provides a great view. The pavilion was nice and the little beach swim area looked good. The lake water is dark From all the leaves and tannins that turn it dark.most of the waters in that area are dark also it's not a surprise.It did look clean for the most part. The prices for the camp spots are very reasonable.

Beautiful park and place to camp. All of the workers and the Campground Hosts are very helpful and seem to love their work. Lots of trails and places to walk and bike. The lake looks so beautiful, and the water is sparkly. Even though there seem to be a number of dogs here, it's pretty quiet... I Love It Here!

Overall it’s always been a good experience, before this most recent trip. Camped here 6 or 7 times throughout the years. Haven’t been since before Covid though. They dialed back the active rangers obviously, we only saw one guy roll through briefly in the 3 days we were there. Our first night someone walked on our site and stole a football, second night while we were at the lake someone went into our 3 tents and ripped all our stuff out of our bags but didn’t take anything. They also very obviously tried to break into our cooler we had locked and chained up, but wasn’t able to get anything. Didn’t get the opportunity to tell anyone because we didn’t see anybody after either of those “events”. Hopefully they step up some sort of security again, used to love camping there.
