Pleasant campground. The reservoir, like most in the West right now (2020) is exceptionally low. Boulder embankments, 30' high or more are exposed above the water mark.
This campground was amazing, the bathrooms were incredibly nice. The hosts were new and the husband was very nice and friendly but the wife wasn't as friendly.
Very nice well kept quiet campground. The host was very friendly and helpful even delivering wood to our site. The bathroom and shower was warm and immaculately kept with not a spec of dirt to be seen.
Not a bad campground considering location and price. I crashed for the night before visiting the Painted Hills and John Day. It was in the 100’s but there was lots of shade under the junipers. The campground is very clean and very quiet with few people. Nice bathrooms with showers. There’s also vending machines and ice. I was going to SUP but the water level was so low there was no way to safely carry my board down to the water without scaling down a steep, rocky hillside. Ended up taking a nice cold shower to cool off instead.
Very nice, small, quiet campground with very clean facilities. Wish the Reservoir had more water in it but still worthy of a visit. We will definitely be back!
