This is a fun scout camp for Washington Crossing Council. The staff is great and the scouts that volunteer here and camp here have a wonderful time. The wildlife is fun and the amenities are good.
The camp is okay, The merit badge counselors were great very thorough with their teachings. The property is well kept for the most part. The latrines need some work! Structurally they're pretty much intact but there needs to be attention placed on cleanliness and the smell which is enough to take out a human during these really extremely hot days. There was a hot water tank that went bad in the adult shower house which left it so I was there for a whole week and never had a hot shower. I don't know if I was always going at the wrong time which was usually at 11:00 pm so for a few days I went at 5:00 a.m. and still the same situation no hot water. There needed to have been a way to have that fixed immediately. I think someone opted to just let it go but the difference between a hot shower and an ice water bath are leaps and bounds away from each other!
This is a great scout camp, primarily because of the dedicated staff and volunteers who run it. Whether it's summer camp, a Fall camporee, Klondike, or a Spring OA induction weekend, OSR does it all. Definitely a recommended place for your scouting needs!
So fun. It's really a beautiful location. Huge place. Bathrooms are super stinky. Even for being new.
Best memories ever were made here. Attend from 1995-2004 with Pack 147/ Troop 147 OG
This place is awesome! The facilities aren’t the greatest. But the staff makes up for it. They are so cheerful, accommodating, and professional. 10/10 experiences guaranteed.
