I stayed here 6 nights. Campsite conveniently located within walking distance to June Lake Beach. Parking is $10 to park near the beach which is not included in the campsite reservation. It's free is you walk to the beach. Campsites are clean, restrooms were clean and heated. Potable running water is available. The campsites are a bit close together depending on the chosen site, and some sites have tree shade while others don't. Camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. I will be staying here again. I had an excellent time.
The campground itself is nice. The people who work there are nice. The owner of the property by the general store is a jerk. He screams at everyone who gets close to the store because it’s closed for the winter so you can’t even walk by the look at the store or anything. Grumpy old man. Be aware they charge for dumping RV tanks and they charge $10 to drive a vehicle down by the lake. I’ll never go back to this place. Go to silver lake it’s way nicer and no fees to enjoy the area.
Nice campground. Good mix of sunshine and shade. My criticism is the campground should provide hand soap in the bathrooms. The cost to camp is $36 per night (Sep. 2024); that price should include hand soap.
My family and I camped here in 2017 and loved it. No issues back then . We came back and camped this past weekend and found out the showers weren’t open this season and now it’s a $10 daily fee to park at the beach (it was free in the past). We stayed for 3 nights… It was super windy and our tent broke on the 2nd night. Other than that the campground is well maintained, bathrooms clean. Not sure if we will be back the 3rd time.
First time visiting June Lake, but it will not be our last. Absolutely gorgeous campground with the lake being the centerpiece. Try to get a spot close to the beach so you can walk to it, as people have posted it is a $10 charge to park down by the water. You can either go earlier in the day to park, or there is a free beach just before you get to the check-in Booth the facilities are all cleaned and kept in good order what a wonderful place.
