Oklahoma City East KOA is a wonderful campground. The staff at the front desk are welcoming and accommodating, and the sites are well-kept and spacious. The park has a calm and relaxing atmosphere, and the location is really convenient. I especially appreciated the showers – they’re private stalls with coded access, which makes them both secure and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here!
During one evening on our journey through Oklahoma on Highway 40 W, our car broke down, leaving my husband, our two children, aged six and seven, and me stranded. After calling AAA, we found ourselves waking up on the side of the freeway, still waiting for assistance. Fortunately, a KOA campground was just beyond the freeway fence, and the owner, Brandon, was incredibly helpful. He arranged for our trailer to be towed to the KOA, where we paid a very reasonable fee for the night. After a long 36 hours, AAA finally arrived to tow our van to the campsite. The KOA employees were remarkably understanding, allowing us to fix our van right there on the premises. During our 10-day stay, which included five days of repairs, we connected with fellow campers, including Jason, and his wife k who had a daughter my daughter's age. The kids played together, and despite the challenges we faced, the kindness and support we received from the KOA community made this leg of our trip from Florida to Oregon one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences.
Didn't stay long enough to have an opinion about much. Location was good. Looked clean from what we saw. Pool looked inviting. Bath house was clean. Shower was awful. Water cycled back and forth from scalding hot to cool so I turned it down and essentially took a cold shower as did my husband. Mattress in the cabin was also not good. Otherwise, it was fine. We were charged an extra $25 after checking out and I'm not sure why but don't have time to look into it. It was just my husband and I this time with no kids or pets so can't comment on kid or pet friendliness.
Nice friendly staff. The layout of this park is nice. Good sites. I enjoyed drinking my coffee while listening to the local Rooster make his wake up calls 😄
the pool is nice, and the goats are so stinking cute along with the chickens. there is like 1-2 staff members that were nice, everyone else was rude, they don't wave or talk to you. We were moving and they put a lock on the hitch then the OWNER LOST the key. Ashton or something around the name is awesome.
