I just went to check out the waterfall and campground. It was beautiful but small. There are only a few walk in tent sites here but if you get one it should be a nice little getaway. I'm planning a trip soon.

Love this place way up in the mountain. I usually fined state forests to camp in and not paid campgrounds. But, I would definitely pay the $7 a night to sleep next to that river again. I think there is only about 10 very well maintained sites here. In the dry season you can walk the river. It's private down stream so, I suggest going up stream. But do not try crossing the river in the wet season. It might be small but, it does get fast and deep then.

There’s only about a dozen sites, you’re in a remote, forested part of the mountains, and it’s three miles down a single-lane dirt road to get to the nearest house. There’s no electricity (not even a light over the vault toilet), cell coverage is spotty, and few to no people there on Mondays through Thursday. If that hasn’t run you off, then you’re going to love this place. There’s a REALLY BRISK!!! mountain stream and swimming hole (more like wading hole) that’s popular with the locals in the warmer months, so be prepared for visitors and kids on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Go during a Monday through Thursday and it’s typically quiet. I’ve even overnighted a couple times in late fall where I had the entire place to myself. It’s black bear country, so keep your site clean and store food appropriately.

Absolutely love it here. Tents only and a price you can afford. Places to get in the water and trails to explore. Quiet place for the most part and well maintained with a bathroom.
